Silent Assasin | 4.7 0 comments |
by MasterCheat from Montoursville, PA, USA | Jan 12, 2005 |
Graphics: Markedly better than Hitman: Contracts. There are still some strangulation issues, but the massive graphical glitches are gone. Still not quite as Half-Life, though. The game is much much easier on slower systems that Contracts is so even if you have a 5 year old computer you should be able to run it at the lowest settings.
Sound: Same great sound effects as before.
Gameplay: Now the story gets more involved. The before mission sequences before each level is enough to get you through the level and tell you a little bit more about the story. Still hard as hell, though.
Controls: If you didnt like the default controls in Contracts, you won't like these. I suggest changing them to the up/down/left/right arrows and transferring all of the major buttons to the Enter, Right Shift, Right Control, Right Alt, ",", ".", "/" and Spacebar.
Overall: Better than the others, that is for sure. Still Hitman but with better packaging and new stuff. |

Hitman 2 ROCKS!! | 4.7 0 comments |
by timgta2002 from Rochester, NY, | Oct 24, 2003 |
THE GOOD: Weapons selection is excellent. Graphics are very high quality.THE BAD: Only that you cant do hand to hand combat and sneaking isnt as good as I wanted. SUMMARY: The storyline isnt the best in the world but you cant have everyhitng. This is one of the best games that I have ever played.
The gamplay is fantastic and the levels are superb.
There is a huge selection of weapons even though you dont really need them since you need to do the missions as stealthy as possible.
The AI is pretty good. When you are in missions you need to kill someone you have to get a disguise to get past guards but the guards are not that stupid so you need you watch out that they dont see through you, which happens queit alot.
Overall I would say you have to play this game at least one time in your life. I know you will be addicted. |

THE GOOD: Excellent selection of weapons, targets & locations SUMMARY: Looking for a stealth game? Looking for an action game? Well Hitman 2:SA is both! Either complete your mission with out even being seen, or run in with all guns blazing - Its your choice. None of that It seems someones seen you, lets try the whole mission again bs to be found here.
From fibre wire to SP12 Shotguns, chlorofom to M60 Machine guns, Hitman 2 has every weapon you could possibly want!
Each mission will encourage you to try a new tactic to get that hit completed, some will require you to get up close & personal, some you can quite happily sit a few hundred meters away lying in wait for your target to pass between your crosshair.
To sum it up, Hitman 2 gives you total flexibility on how you complete your missions which leads you to go back to try them again & again in ever more inventive ways. You'll also find yourself going back to finish off your much prized gun collection |

First of all... When you are a hitman there is gonna be some different levels... it don't have to be harder and harder... I think it a good idea, cause then u relaxe in some levels, and learn new tricks for the harder ones... The music is great, it really hits the nerve when u are sucked in to the game... even do hitman can have some weird moves some times, he still controlable. At first I hated the new controls, but when you learn it, then u know it's for your advantish... *bleep*ing goog game!!! |

THE GOOD: ALL THE BAD: THE AIMING SYSTEM SUMMARY: THE ONLY DISANDVANTAGE OF THE GAME , IS THE AIMING SYSTEM. I THINK THAT AN AUTO LOCK AIMING SYSTEM, WOULD HELP THE GAME AND THE GAMER. I ALSO NOTICED, THAT SOME MISSIONS WERE VERY DIFFICULT AND OTHERS VERY EASY. IN GENERAL , THE GAME IS EXCITING AND ORIGINAL. IT REMINDED ME ' MAX PAYNE ' A LITTLE, BUT I THINK THIS ONE IS BETTER. THE SOUNDS THE MUSIC THEMES AND THE SPEECH ARE ALSO SUPERB. |

Work of Art! | 4.8 0 comments |
by Bizzybone702 from Las Vegas, NV, USA | Oct 20, 2002 |
THE GOOD: Great Ending! Very fun to play blasting everything insight, or planning attacks by stealth. Fun choosing how you want your victim to be killed, shot in the back of the head, posion, or come up from behind and choke em with the fiber wire!THE BAD: 47 needs to learn how to hold his breath when sniping someone! SUMMARY: This game is great! A complete work of art. Wheather you wanna go in blasting everybody that gets in your way, or sneak up in the hideout, obtain a disguise and assassinate your victim more quietly like a silenced shot to the back of the head, or more clean by choking his ass with the fiber wire! The game is great, the levels are well brought out, and the graphics look great. The story line is great. And the ending is awesome, I'll just tell you it may remind you of the ending of Scarface. The weapons are fun to use, especially the ballers, man do those guys fly! The missions are challanging, but very fun...gunning down a naked fat guy in a hot tub in front of his hunnies, man is that priceless! Hands down, the game is fun! |

Heeeeeeeere's Baldy!!! | 5.0 0 comments |

THE GOOD: Much better story line than the original. Most of the problems that plagued the first have been taken care of. The map and the in-game save really make the game more enjoyable and easier to navigate.THE BAD: Just minor problems really. One being no matter what you disguise yourself as, if you stand too close to a bodyguard or civilian they automatically spot you which makes for some frustration. The music's not as daunting as the first one as they seem to have opted for a more upbeat tone. Not that this takes away any of the fun I just enoyed the "terminatoresque" sound when stalking your victims other than what's found on this one. SUMMARY: First of all I'll just say that even though some had mixed feelings on it, I was a huge fan of the first one. Even though it had several flaws which detracted from the overall gameplay I thought the concept was just fantastic and have probably played that game more than any other that I've ever bought. That being said, I was thrilled to hear that they'd made a sequel my only fear was that it wouldn't live up to the first one. Luckily I was wrong.
Gameplay-The gameplay in this one is outstanding. There are so many ways you can accomplish you assassinations that when I first got the game I played the first board over and over again for a couple of hours. Not because it was difficult, it's actually one of the easiest missions, it was just that there were so many different ways to complete the hit that I couldn't help but keep on exploring. The replay value for H2 is tremendous. You can either choose the "steath" approach or the "kill everything that moves approach", although you wont make it too far if you choose the latter. Like I mentioned earlier the story is much better than the first and the newly added in-game save system and easy to use map are an absolute godsend. Make no mistake though, this game is HARD and will take several replay's to complete any mission, patience is a must.
Graphics and Sound-Again, outstanding. Much more colorful and rich than the first game, from the gardens of Sicily to snow falling it is all very detailed. The sound is great as well, the sound of your footsteps coincides with every surface you come in contact with. The sound of walking through snow in St. Petersburg is extremely well done. Of course the highlight is when you get to do your "dirty work". The gunshot and impact sounds are eerily well done. The voice acting isn't as wooden as the first as well.
Summary-I just can't build this one up enough, I've left out a ton of praises for spoiler reasons. If you are a fan of the first you'll love it. If you hated the first one, trust me, this one is worth your time and money, you won't be dissapointed. I'm sure this will turn out to be one of the best games of the year probably only second to Vice City(hey now even I have to be realistic). The only thing bad about this game will be hoping that they continue this series with a third. Well gotta run, I've got lot's more nasty mob bosses, dirty politicians, renegade generals, and tons of their bodyguards to rid the earth of...
