THE GOOD: An arsenal weapons that can be configured - more than 30 weapons available Good level design, that has nothing to do with Half Life You can drive vehicles and a tank You can kick alien ass!THE BAD: Slower game compared to Half Life Not as much difference between Half Life and Gunman Chronicles
SUMMARY: Chronicles. Gunman Chronicles. Well, Gunman Chronicles, first meant to be a mod until Sierra and even Valve had interest for it. OK, the game went into a self product, that had nothing to do with Half Life. And the game went into shops and my hands. I've started playing it and the intro sequence was great. The sequence was better than the intro in Half Life. OK, now the story. Your name is Major Archer, an elite warrior, from the Gunman. Your job is to kick some "xenom ass" as the general told you. When you first start the game, you start it in a tram (now where have we seen this). Then there is a training section where you train yourself and see some new things in this game. Let's go to the arsenal now. You have a lot of weapons and they are even configurable (that's the only new thing in the game) so that you can have more than 30+ weapons! OK, now the levels. Levels are great, a solid design for people that made their first game. There are new things in the game, like driving tanks, killing new scums and commanding new people, but hey, when I've started playing this game, I thought that I was in Black Mesa. You get health from machines, get chargers from charging stations (familuar?), you control your allies, you meet a dinosaur that eats you if you pass (just like in Half Life), the only new thing are levels, backgrounds, weapons and models. This is a great game, but it is just like a cousin to Half Life. I recommend this game to people that like 1st person shooters, but to other I don't. You can get it for a lower price now. If you like this game (that is incredibly as Half Life) then buy, if you don't buy Opposing Force for Half Life. Overview: A great game but the only problem is that it's just a cousing of Half Life. |
