THE GOOD: Decent graphics, Neat storyline, intresting combat system
THE BAD: My god, the sound, the SOUND!
SUMMARY: Geneforge is an intriguing game where on the way to be initiated into a collection of creature creating wizards, your ship is sunk by mysteriouse people, thus rendering you stranded on an island and now you must get off it. This game only haves 3 character classes, but this is plenty, considering that you can make one class do the exact same thing as the other, only more difficult The storyline is the highlight of the game here. There are three sects of creatures on the island, and you can opt to choose one, or none at all (though this makes it harder to get through the game). All over the web, reviews pan the graphics. I don't get these people; they are decent enough, and it's not like the graphics are gonna make you gouge your eyes out. They convoy the point, and you can tell what your looking at. The only real complaint I have is the sound. I just turn off the sound and list...
THE GOOD: Demo is 17 scenarios long! Can test almost all functions of the game! All Characters can be edited to your likings!
THE BAD: Creations and Spells too small of selection (3 of each) need a TON of mechanical skill. Shaper needs more Essance, Guardian needs less.
SUMMARY: Good: The demo is very long and gives you an excellent feel for the game! The tuturial easily explains the game and the story line simutaneously. Speaking of the storyline, it is a VERY detailed one. I enjoy how you can change characters to your liking. I have a shaper who is good at melee attacks and a guardian who can cast powerful magic. I know this seems to take some fun out, bt it is balanced by the amount of skill points needed to increase a stat.
Bad: Storyline should vary for Agent - Guardian - Shaper. They are all the same! I mean just changing the 'Shaper' to 'Guardian' in the speech would give the storyline more feel. You also need to place TONS of points in mechanical skill to get items. The Shaper, bei...
