THE GOOD: ~Realistic Player Statistics ~Player Photographs Tied to Their Profiles ~Amazing Match Engine ~Realistic Player Ambitions ~Manager Hall of Fame ~Ability to Download Skins and Graphics to Attatch to the Game
THE BAD: ~Slightly Poor Shots on Target to Goals Ratio ~Some un-realistic Transfer Bids a Few Seasons Into the Game ~Rare Newsticker Bugs
SUMMARY: Well, when i first heard Eidos and SI were splitting up I feared the worst, I thought there would be no more managing games up to the standard of Championship Manager, but I was wrong! Sitting here today I am glad that SI teamed up with SEGA and produced what I think of as the best managing game EVER. The game is so exciting you will end up shouting and screaming at your PC! Not to mention how addictive the game is, i've once gone over 24 hours on one saved game! You may think it would get boring a few seasons into the game when players retire, wrong! Even when the young stars retire, (which could be about 20 years into the game) I guarantee you will have as much fun with made up players as you will with real ones! Seriously, have a long, hard think about buying this game. The Best Managment Game Ever. |

THE GOOD: realistic players life's, the media messages are real life, the matches are good to watch, and the comments you can make to other managers. the size of the data-base is a big help.THE BAD: how long it takes to load at the beginning, and how long a day takes to load. [If this doesn't happen on you're PC please tell me] SUMMARY: This is another brilliant game from the creators of the CHAMPIONSHIP MANAGER series. If you are reading this, because you're unsure about buying it, then i would say yes, because it's one of the best management simulation games around so far. With all new smart and fast gameplay, a whole new world of players and staff with over 250,000 as the new data-base, all new 04/05 season transfers. And all new web sites to visit when stuck or just need a few hints/tips. |

THE GOOD: I think the way you can watch your match on 2d is brillant and also there are a lot to do.The game never ends unless you have a slow computer and it will end in about 10 years but this game is brillant and i think you should get it and also managing england or ireland or whatever is brillant because you can call up players, employ ass managers and coaches it is just brillant and so much fun.THE BAD: The game is quite slow if you have bad computer and gets to easy after a few season with a big club but there is so manny good thing you dont really mind about this. SUMMARY: This game is brillant and you should buy this if you have a fast computer because this is the one of the best games i have ever played, and you will get addicted to it and not leave the house for a couple of days which i did.

THE GOOD: Gameplay Addictveness Simplicity DetailedTHE BAD: Can get very repitive after a while, but when I say "while I mean after around 6 or so months (real life time) playing the game. Then after a patch/update it sorts this problem for at least another short period of time. SUMMARY: This is a must play game for any football fan out there, you can take control of you're favorite team or take charge at one of the worlds elite teams. You can start from the bottom and take the team all the way up to the champions league final if you dare to take up that challenge, or you can take control as AC Milan, Real Madrid, Chelsea and take the easy way to glory. =P
Graphics
Excellent graphics, a nice smooth layout. It doesn't require an awesome graphics gard to play because it's a quite simple design and doesn't include high demanding in game graphics for matches only 2D characters on the filed to represent the players.
Gameplay
The best management sim out there by far. Simple to play yet it is still very detailed. Very addictive can keep you glued to the screen for months. Unlike other games where you play and complete and stop playing this game cannot be completed you can only play to achieve your goals each season. |

Management Perfection | 5.0 0 comments |

THE GOOD: Media Interaction Agents Offering Players Player Personalities Speed Layout Variety Of Teams To Choose FromTHE BAD: Sometimes the speed is slow, but usually it's incredibly fast. SUMMARY: This could take a while.
First of all, the media interaction is a massive improvement on previous CM titles. You can slag off managers in upcoming matches, or praise them, and earn a friend in manager's circles. Be warned however: Telling a manager you're confident of an easy victory in the next match might effect your players performance, which is also a great addition.
The fact that the players can respond to comments made in the media is brilliant, and overall the media interaction in this game is top notch.
As well as that, the scouting system is excellent as well. You can ask your scouts to scout a player in his next match, but if another player impresses in that match, the scout tells you about him. Coaches give their opinions on players as well, and it helps if you're new to the genre and need help getting players.
You can also declare your interest in players, and the media react to that in terms of how much chance you have of getting the player. For example, if you are a Conference side and declare your interest in Thierry Henry, the media will say that: 'Manager <Insert Name Here> is living in dreamworld after declaring he wants to bring Thierry Henry to <Instert Crappy Team Here>'!
There are just a few of the many brilliant aspects of a game that has kept me glued to the PC since Christmas. It would take too long to go through every good aspect of the game, because this game is the best management game ever made.
Football Manager 2005 is an excellent management game, with SI Games once again producing a gem of a game. They seem to get better and better, and if FM05 is anything to go buy, they'll only get better!
Buy this game if you're into Management titles. If you're not, then why are you on this page?

Football Manager 2005 | 4.5 0 comments |

When I first bought the game, I didn't think I'd like it. I played the Demo before and wasn't really into the new layout. But you get used to it after a while, that's garunteed. When I first loaded it up, I thought it was a poor game. And I preferred Championship Manager 03/04. But after time passed playing the game, I found out just how good it is. So if you don't like it at first, don't worry. Just play it for a little longer and soon you'll love it.
Football Manager 2005 features teams from 158 divisions in 51 countries. There are many players to buy, with practically every footballer in their database. The press releases are fantastic, you're able to comment on any manager in the game; good or bad. He can also say things about you, which is a perfect addition to an almost perfect game. This is the new Championship Manager basically, with Sports Interactive joining with SEGA to make this legendary management game, the best available in my view. Once again you can add footballers to your shortlist, and if you don't make an offer for him, you'll be updated with other transfer details on the player. For example, "Valencia make bid for Kahn". Now if you're wanting to buy him, it's a warning to you. Buying people is just as easy as it always has been. To be honest, it's just an improved version of Championship Manager 03/04. Although there are still bugs that need sorted out, and occasionally it can run slow. They're the only problems I have with the game though. And maybe it's just a little too easy. But either way the new things put into the game make it a lot more enjoyable.
You can also view the 2D pitch once again. And highlights & goals. The new UEFA Cup format is here as well, with Group Stages now added. And if you start the game unemployed, teams with no managers may offer you a job. It's realistic, and a lot of fun. If you get bored of your team, you can apply for another. Which is great, because I started off as Chelsea, then a few years later I applied for a vacant spot in Scotland. And got it..
There are many transfer bargains in the game, check the forum here at neoseeker to see a few. I personally always buy Freddy Adu, who can't play in the Premiership until he's fifteen. But once he is though, you'll be winning constantly, with him playing a vital role in the victory. The awards make a comeback, which is great. Team of the Week, Player of the Month and Manager of the Month, are just a few to name. I'm confident that this game will wipe the floor with the new Championship Manager game. FM 1-0 CM. |
