THE GOOD:
tbh there isnt much good to be said for champ 5. the only improvment was the tactics board if you could call it, i truely poor attemptTHE BAD:
the creators have been blind by trying to make the game look more futuristic rather than playable.. what could have easily been the best managerial game of the year has turned out to be a complete nightmare for enthusistic champ man gamers around the world.
i mean as previous reviewers have said, it was a shock to the system with the layout of the FULL game.
but thats what happens when they sack original design team of the previous few champs which i must say are the best and im going to prob continue to play.. the creators need to take a long hard think and get there finger out if they want to rezurect 1 of the greatest games of our generation. the bugs in this version alone are so bad that i`ll be going back to champ 03/04 or i`ll be trying out football manager 2005(from the creators of champ 03/04 and previous belive it or not) shocked? im not..
anyway poor attempt, and please listen to the fans, we`r your best critics.. GET IT RIGHT NEXT TIME! SUMMARY:

how about the layout was terrible, the navigation of this game were shocking, alomost unplayabe..
overrated players and teams (must i say mostly in england as scottish teams arent noticed! as usual) no disrespect to the english boys of course.
the new team of the this creations really dont have a clue, they need the original team back from the good old days, at least they new what they were doing!
anyway im tired of slamming this game, my advice.. go back to the old champ ways of doing this game or dont bother at all.
my advice to people reading, dont even install it.

THE GOOD:
somebody said somethin was good about it but it has slipped my mind...not much the loading times aRE Suppposed to befaster and the game pitch a little more detailedTHE BAD:
there is loadsa bugs in the game apparently your useless assistant manager reccomends les ferdinand as a defensive midfielder and thierry henry totally vanished 4 no reason! ure youth team is worth loads. and rubbish teams like southsmpton are bidding £25m 4 john o'shea! your 16 year old youth teamer qusetions tour managerieal abilities and frank de boer was suddenly 21 again (hes 35) THATS ONLY THE START! SUMMARY:
dont buy this! buy fm2005 instead you know anything about football then you will know that bgs have *bleep*ed up big time it couldnt be muich worse! aND THIS WAS half a YEAR L8! its stupid! the menu is really bad aswell there is no reason you should by this game!

THE GOOD:
The speed of processing and the new tactics board, which lets you put you players almost anywhere on the pitch!!THE BAD:
The terrible graphics like the eye-sore italic fonts, the confusing colours,the frankly abnormal obsession with multi-coloured stats to try and boost it sales , the poor realism like the mighty Accrington winning the F.A. cup twice in a row, the massively overrated and undervalued players like the entire Derby County squad who might as well be the England team who have a total value of £3,000,000, the... need I say more? SUMMARY:
It could have been a very good game, but was seriously let-down by some appaling decisions, like whose idea was it for the layout!?!And who thought Accrington Stanley could beat Arsenal 4-0!?! TBH I personally think that the editors of the game when they said yes to some of the thing the designers said they must have been on weed!! |

THE GOOD:
- It's fast.
- It's simple gameplay.
- That's all really.THE BAD:
- The layout is poor.
- The graphics are poor, but doesn't affect the game.
- The match engine is boring and dull.
- Overall gameplay is nothing compared too it's predecessors. SUMMARY:
Overall this game is rubbish. Especially compared to football manager. This isn't technically the real championship manager from the past, the likes of CM01/02 and CM4 are from the makers of the new series football manager. Football manager is the real Championship Manager, which is what you should be playing if you were a fan of the series. Championship Manager could have been a lot better if it didn't have to live up to the name of the past. Eidos have definitely shamed the name of Championship Manager.
So basically, if you're looking for the same thrills and enjoyement from the old Championship Managers, get Football Manager. You won't be dissapointed, unlike this game where you could barely force yourself to play. |
