Background:
The owner of the Derceto mansion in Louisiana has died of mysterious reasons, and his case is handled quickly by local authorities. Now, as detective Edward Carnby or the late owner's niece Emily, what was supposed to be a simple job of entering the mansion to list all the valuables has turned into a nightmarish fight for survival against the unnatural horrors that lurk within the mansion, and escape alive. The first in a seris of survival horror games based on the works of H.P. Lovecraft.
