"Alien Crossfire is a jam-packed expansion that seamlessly blends many new and interesting features into an already great game. The bugs are occasionally annoying, but not serious enough to prevent you from enjoying yourself. If you're a fan of the original Alpha Centauri, your return visit to Planet should be just as engrossing as your first."

"Although Alien Crossfire does not mark a leap in technology and style of turn based strategy games, in an overly used cliché, Alien Crossfire is the product of an evolutionary process. Lets see what else comes from Firaxis, because I'm eagerly awaiting for more."

"If you loved Alpha Centauri -- and I mean *loved* it (in which case you probably aren't using this review to help make a buying decision), you'll like what was accomplished here. But if you thought the game was enjoyable, but it's since lost its hard drive space to Age Of Empires II, there's little here to motivate you to reinstall."

"Think of Sid Meier's Alien Crossfire as the ingredient that Firaxis has added to the drug known as Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri. The label on the box says that the game is an expansion pack, but I know an addictive substance when I see one. If you loved Alpha Centauri, then Alien Crossfire is a great way to spend 25 dollars and a couple hundred hours."
" Because it makes no drastic changes, players who didn't like Alpha Centauri in the first place will find nothing in Alien Crossfire that will change their minds. However, fans of the original game will want to get the expansion pack for its interesting alien factions and new technologies."
