THE GOOD: The aspect of the contracts is good and the pre fab terminals make it easy for the beginner. Once you change into medium or above the game gets harder. I like the fact that as you progress the new building come availableTHE BAD: Slow to get contracts, Beeper is very annoying, Game can be anal about placement of Structures and/or Items, Espicially inside the terminal buildings. I Personally find it hard to place support buildings where they can get to the tarmac and do what they need to without getting backlogged. Game has glitches (But then again which game doesn't) SUMMARY: Not a bad game overall. I own it but I don't think I would have spent 40 dollars for it. The airports are hard to get going in the early years which will make it frustrating for the new players. I recommend Art money, Art Money is a money editor tht is capable of doing a number of things, It also works on a number of games. Airport tycoon is now a bargain bin game but I feel it is worth the 9 Dollars I spent for it. Just a note for the new player......Build your runway away from the terminal, this gives you room to work with otherwise you end up cramped for space |

THE GOOD: the buisness aspect of this game rocks. it is fun watching planes come in for landings if you make it that farTHE BAD: takes forever and the graphics and sound suck SUMMARY: This is a really good game if you buy it for the buisness end of it. puting the mall together is the worst you cant put stores next to each other somtimes and its a pain in the #$$. the graphics and sound are really bad and it takes along time for the game to get going and its almost impossible to do without the money trainer. you cant even buy a terminal with the money you start out with. but if you have money and have the time to sit there it is fun. the building the airport in my opinion is the best in the game even though some of the tools are really bad Especially the erase. all and all a good game i think theres a airport tycoon 2 out we will see if this one is any better. |

THE GOOD: The way that you buy contracts i like...and the facilities and buildings you can make! I think the camera views are realli cool!THE BAD: I think that the way you put the retail is realli bad! The so called "mall" looks realli awkward and looks like people cant even go in a store!I dont like how long it takes to get the game going (getting contracts and stuff). I think the graphics and sound is really bad! SUMMARY: ~*~ Personal raiting ~*~
Overall: 3.5 Gameplay: 4.2 Sim to Life: 5.0!!! (its pretty realistic not graphic wise but the way things work) Graphics: 2.0 Sound: 2.0 Easy or hard:1.0 (<==hard easy==>)(its easy once you get the trainer)
A lot of people get the game look at the cover..."airport tycoon"..sounds good. Then they look at the back and see the screen shots, "looks even better!!!". Then they go home and they install it...when they are installing it says in the corner, installing air mogul. Hey i bought air tycoon not air mogul! The reason for this is that the game came from austrailia and they couldnt name it air mogul (what is that!) so they named it air tycoon because tycoon is not a company...a company just make games that are called ____ tycoon.
When i first started playing i thought it was really boring! It took a LoOoOoOng time to get even 1 contract!! So i quit for a while...then i went online and searched airport tycoon, i found a site with a trainer that gives you 4 BBBBBillion when you press F10!! I thought this was macho sweet! I got my 4 bil pressed Alt+tab and closed the trainer and i started building all the expensive stuff!!! I thought this was the best eva...although it stilll takes a while to get contracts...for the first while you just build in the retail!
~*~ Note to Beginners~*~
Needed materials: Unlimited money trainer (you can get it by typing in airport tycoon in the search area on IE, MSN, or AOL...not sure about netscape. It'll show a whole bunch of sites check the first one...it should have it if it doesnt go to the next, 1 of them will have it!
When you start play on easy mode...then buy prefab terminal #5 (6 is way too big!) and build the necessarys (admin, control tower, 2 2000m runways, 3 turnovers, 2 cargo, 4 gas places, long stay parking lot, short stay lot, taxi rank, bus stop, train station, etc. You cant do this w/o the trainer! there wouldnt be enough money!) Then turn it on the fastest and you'll get a bunch of contracts for retail stuff...when you ran out of room for retail then turn the game on SUPER fast and wait while watching TV or something, and in a year (on the game) contracts will realli start rolling in fast! Well, Good Luck! |
