SUMMARY: This is an extremely well-made game in my opinion. It has good humor, good graphics, and awesome music.
Kurt is my second favorite character. But he's my favorite to play as. His sniper scope makes it fun to pick on far off enemies. Plus he's the most flexible of the three characters...and the fastest.
Max is my second favorite to play as. He is kinda slow, but makes up for it with his ability to cause complete mayhem with his Brute force and Firepower! Max is just fun to kill aliens with.
Doctor Hawkins is my third favorite to play as. He is very weak and slow. And almost the exact opposite of Kurt. (He can't even pull himself up onto ledges) BUT! He is the most humorous, and it's fun to toy around with his gadgets. (I have an extremely good time firing Atomic Toast nonstop around the area.)
The game itself is good, but the only problem is that it hardly lasts for about two days. Unless of course you aren't too good at games o...
SUMMARY: The whole neighborhood has to hold their mouth's just right for the characters to jump properly, this is not a very user friendly game,I found it more frustrating than enjoyable. Before I buy anything from Bioware or Interplay again, they will have to come up with a game that is not only a challenge(and this one fits THAT catagorie)but, be enjoyable and entertaining, I recommend anyone that buy's games to have fun and relax after a brutal day at the office to avoid buying this game. A TOTAL "two Thumb's Down".
The original MDK was quite a good game, gaining excellent reviews from all of the magazines that reviewed it. I have been wanting to play on it for a while now, but I can't find it anywhere. It did, however, cause many complaints from 'do-gooders' across the world. The initials originally stood for 'Murder Death Kill', but due to complaints, Bioware had to change this for the sequel. The solution, change Bones' name to Max, now making Max Doc 'n' Kurt.
The game starts a couple of minutes after the original game when the crew arrive back on their ship after the alien invasion. Before Max can even have a drop of gasoline, a minecrawler (a huge machine on rollers that crushes the landscape) lands on a city on the Earth. As anyone would, Kurt jumps off the ship, and by pure coincidence manages to land in the hole in the top of the minecrawler. Although the plot seems to be like any other game plot, it eventually folds out into a wider and better story.
Good graphics cool little sounds from all over the place. What makes the game is its fun. There is humorus things all over the place and you get to kill a bunch of giant stupid aliens. im not done with the game yet so far I find it easy in most spots but pretty difficult in others. You have to really use your noodle when playing Dr. Hawkins.
Definately recomended, also good for the younger guys becouse there isnt blood and guts (well there is alien guts) all over the place like so many other games.
THE GOOD: Probably the BEST third person shooter that there every has come out, and will (unless there comes to be Mdk3, or something) ever come out! Great humour, action, strategy, puzzles...etc.
THE BAD: There is a little too much platform jumping, a wee bit too short, no multiplayer mode of any sort, puts all other third person shooters to shame, it runs way to good on my box, the controls make any other game look terribly awkward, shooting staples at classmates isn't nearly as fun any more, and...and...oh, well, that's as much critisism that I can give. I think that's fair!
