THE GOOD: 1. The game combines aspects of KOEI's fabulous series, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, with Microsoft's excellent Age of Empires. How can a person go wrong? 2. The graphics are improved from Age of Empires, but could have been better. 3. This game gives you the micromanagement that was not available in KOEI's RTK series. 4. The game provides a great deal of detail that provides for a fuller, more realistic game. (i.e., you have to have food processed before consumption, soldiers need to be supplied in the field or they perish, etc.) 5. The game requires a good deal of actual thinking in order to win. It's not the massive slugfest that Age of Empires was. You can't win with just brute force you MUST have a brain. 6. It's set in the ancient Chinese past and that makes it cool in and of itself. 7. The improvements and information are very interesting even though the actual history of the period is embellished. 8. Overall the game flow was smoother than Age of Empires and the laborers...
THE BAD: Characters don't react immediately to your command, ie whne targeting an enemy soldier, your hero will go to that place where that soldier once stood and he will draw his sowrds and attacks before he realizes there's nobody there or he will stand still several times before he attacks.
Intelligent heroes cannot ride horseback.
SUMMARY: It got me frustrated very freguent because my heroes got shot down by archers while standing still and thinking where to go (even after a target has been chosen).
THE GOOD: 1. Historical play game make us knows about history. 2. More real because walls can't destroyed by swordmans, pikemans, and archers. 3. Warriors, soldiers, and laborers can level up. It make us not just throw away a man who not needed. 4. A human must eat for life. Resources make by farms can't directly eated. 5. Hasn't cavalryt unit. We must raised a horse to make a cavalry unit. It's more real. 6. Not just a fast production make us win the battle, but also a perfect strategist.
THE BAD: 1. The ruler hasn't a rank in court(ex: Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, King, High Lord) 2. A warrior divided two: Intelligent Warriors (IW) and Fighter Warrior (SW). An IW has high Int but lower Fighting Power. A SW has high Fighting Power but lower Int. It's not real, because warriors from Three Kingdoms sometimes has high Int and Fighting Pwr (ex: Sun Quan, Zhou Yu, Gan Ning, Guan Yu, Cao Cao). 3. Where is the map? It's more fun if we can know location of war...
THE GOOD: - The most Strategies a RTS game could give us! - Not just Real-time, but Realistic! - It's bigger than X-Com: Apocalypse(It's technology details), but easier to play! - Packed excitments - Muitiplay; In the most complex RTS!? Cool!
THE BAD: - Graphic could be better
SUMMARY: In Short: This game will give us hours, days, month, even years of excitments! Ones might get bored if they don't like its management part, but this is what most of this game is about(I think)!
