Star Wars has been around for ages. Star Wars gaming likewise. From the days of the original vector 3D arcade version of Star Wars, through the SNES 'Super' trilogy, and onward to the more modern outings such as Jedi Power Battles and this, Episode One Racer, there has always been a running theme throughout the titles..

'The games aren't very good, but nevermind coz the punters will pay anyway.'

.. Sure the visuals are silky and smooth, and theres a pretty decent impress of speed, but the game is throughly unforgiving. Clip the side of a wall and you'll certainly drop a few places, race round perfectly for ages and still there are opponents edging past. The CPU plays so well it verges on cheating.
Compared to some more up-to-date offerings in the racing genre Star Wars Episode One Racer is amatuerish. Its a laugh for ten miutes, but not something you'll play to death.
