THE GOOD:
Excellent graphics and gameplay, I can sit in front of my computer replaying this game for ages.

THE BAD:
No more than 18 levels, I would like an expansion pack please, and some skirmish games if possible.

SUMMARY:
In short this game is for strategy gamers or hard-core Star Trek fans. It's graphics resemble that of Red Alert 2 or the very old game Syndicate, but it's good to know that great graphics are being used for a great game.
Personally I liked it so much that I was disappointed that there were no more levels, but I did not find the game so easy that I completed it in an hour, which is good because with strategies you are supposed to take your time.
I have played the game twice now, only because I like to re-do the levels and try and perfect my strategic movements. I also like games that have an understandable storyline, it adds that certain extra bit of feeling into the game.
You have to master some of the weapons like the sniper rifle (timing) and the timing of other weapons like concussion grades and remote mines. One of my favorit moves was when I watched the movements and line of sight that some Romulans had then when their backs were turned planted remote mines where they would next go, boom! they all fell down.
Excellent quality, excellent gameplay two thumbs up and two big toes up too!

THE GOOD:
Game controls, graphic details, and game play. Missions are just hard enough to be believable.

THE BAD:
Missions are short, and I want more of them now.

SUMMARY:
I got Away Team two days ago and I have not been able to stop playing it. Now my biggest fear is that I will finish it too soon and not have anymore missions to complete. The install went great and I have not had any bugs so far (unlike "Armada"), and the plot and gameplay is rich (unlike "Hidden.."). Being the closet "trekkie" that I am, I am at the stores when the Star Trek games come out. I was not disappointed with this one. Activision I beg you to come out with an expansion pack for this game, PLEASE!!

THE GOOD:
graphics are excellent. Sound effects are just like in the tv series, missions are realistic.

THE BAD:
AI (yours and the enemies) can sometimes get stuck in corners or not be able to move from one spot to another, decent amount of devices to use but I'd want more, missions can sometimes be ridiculously hard

SUMMARY:
I've been playing the game for a few days now and I like it alot better than fallout tactics. The game was shipped like it was finished for the most part. I have discovered a few bugs (one particularly nasty one has to do with you shooting an enemy and another goes to investigate. Then the investigator calls in for support. The support beams in and runs to the body, then calls in for more support. Pretty soon you have 50+ enemies on your screen.) But if you save often, you can go back far enough in the game where it is a non-issue. (i.e. don't kill many people or transport the bodies off the map).

Graphically, the game shines. The uniforms are colored like the series and the aliens look like they are supposed to. The sound effects are great as well. The developer managed to get a hold of brent spiner (data) and the guy who plays warf (I don't know his name...but it's the guy) for voiceovers for their character.

There is an actual plot to the game. And if you bother to read and listen to the briefings, the game makes alot of sense.

For people who have played games such as jagged alliance 2 or fallout, you won't find all the skills/perks that are in those game. Those games are alot more detailed. There's not skills/perks to pick up or accuracy levels. But the interface in this game is slick and everything looks finished. Plus, I have yet to have a single crash in this game, which says alot in and of itself. Pick it up, try it out and enjoy. Of all the star trek games I've played (I've tried all the ones released by interplay), this one by activision is the best.

This game is great. The story is interesting, and the gameplay is good. The only thing I find wrong with it is sometimes the AI doesn't do a good job at pathfinding or self defense
