Faxanadu

You are an elf in the town of Eoils, known for elves. Your town has been attacked by meteorites, and it is up for you to journey to what is called the Evil Place. You are called the hero, and you assisted by your teacher, known solely as the guru. You are devised a series of plans to visit such places as Branch Town and World Tree, before eventually confronting the Evil One. You are equipped with such things as daggers and the mighty Dragon Slayer sword. Not only that, but various shields and the company of five spells (deluge, fire, thunder, death, and tilt), will guide on your way. The way for gaining experience is by defeating monsters and using the treasure to buy goods.
