THE BAD:
no Create-A-Wrestler mode, somewhat boring championship mode
SUMMARY:
REVENGE, which was a better game than most people would like to say, had most of the necessary tools to be the greatest ever, except for a few things. One serious shortcoming of REVENGE is the lack of a true Create-A-Wrestler mode, such as the one found in WWF No Mercy. Sure, in REVENGE, the player can change the name and costumes of any superstar they want, but still, without being able to edit the movelist or anything else, the 'attempt' at a CAW mode was just pathetic.
On the other hand, the superstar entrances were good, though some authentic music would have been a really nice touch. Also, the movelists are basically the same for most superstars, so the matches can get tedious if you perform the same moves over and over again.
As one of THQ's first true attempts...
