THE GOOD: The best thing I can probably say about this game is it's roster of talent and the sound. Since it has all the superstars music it seems pretty fair to say the sound is good. Also The game is fairly easy to play which helps out a lot.
THE BAD: The Graphics are something along the line of honestly a cross between Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64. Honestly the Gameplay is alright, but it sure wont keep you playing it for long periods of time. Also the souds that the wrestlers make sometimes are muffled
SUMMARY: All I can really say is it is not even worth full price and maybe not even half the price of a N64 game. With it's lacking gameplay and slugish graphics it is no wonder why this Wrestling game was the worst seen in years. As much as I tried to like this game and I really did try. It honestly is only worth a rent at best. If you are looking for better wrestling games for the system try WCW Mayhem or WWF No Mercy.
Without a doubt, this is the worst put together wrestling game out there. There are increadibly sloppy features that plaque every aspect of the game. I am very disapointed in how this game was setup and made.
There are huge problems with the collision detections in WCW Backstage Assault. There is just no real reason to get this game. The graphics are increadibly shaddy and choppy.
Hopefully non of you have bought this game yet, if so I must say that I am sorry for that. If you want a good wrestling game for the Playstation, definatly go with WWF Smackdown 2!
