THE GOOD:
This game was easily my most favourite ever on the Nintendo 64. As such, I find the good qualities vastly outweigh the bad.

The good properties included:

- Storyline
- Diverse character personalities
- Different types of battle
- Instruments of war
- Upgrades system
- Simplicity of weapons
- Fascinating levels
- Unique bosses
- Hidden features
- Graphics
- Replay value

THE BAD:
The bad side of the game was minute in comparison to the good parts.

The bad properties included:

- Short game
- Easy final boss

SUMMARY:
Lylat Wars, or Starfox 64, is the second game of the Starfox series. As such, it had the expectations of not only being better than the first but also becoming a milestone from which future games could hopefully improve and also be successful. So is Lylat Wars a great sequel? Will it be an excellent step from which to ascend...

Starfox 64 (Lylat Wars to me) is a space based shooter starring a band of half human half animal pilots, and comes across as one of the best video game experiences the N64 has to offer.

The plotline is pretty simple to understand. Once upon a time some evil scientist called Andross was banished to a planet called Venom. At some point the Starfox team (then led by James McCloud) was sent to Venom to investigate strange activity. The team was betrayed by one of their own, and only Peppy escaped. Later on Venom is stirring with activity once again and the new Starfox team, led by James' son, Fox, is sent to stop Andross. Not that engaging, but we can forget the plot because the gameplay is where it is at.

Most of the game sits you in the cockpit of the Arwing, which is basically the name of the spaceship fighter piloted by the...

THE GOOD:
This game has very good graphics. Excellent colors, bright yet controlled. Game control is very good too. Slight movement of the control stick results in movement.

THE BAD:
Not a very well thought out storyline. Pretty standard, evil genius trying to rule the universe, go off and kill him. If only this game had a more interesting story, I'd give it a 4.5. In addition, the game is very short. Only about an hour in length. Increase that to three, and we have a winner. This game also needs a wider array of weapons for the Arwing.

SUMMARY:
This is still a good game. I'd definitely recommend renting it for a couple days. It can still cure a boring weekend. Invite a few friends over and play it multiplayer style. Multiplayer is best when you've unlocked the Landmaster.

THE GOOD:
The best action game I have ever played. It felt like you were actually Fox and were controlling your plan.

Gameplay: very good. There was a normal mode and there was a secret mode in adventure mode, which made it great. I found both modes very exciting and that's what made this game really fun. The gameplay for this adventrue game was one of the best ever for the Nintendo 64 console. Rating: 5 out of 5.

Sound: great sound and backround effects. The shooting, the people talking, it was good. As I mentioned before, it made you feel like you were playing this game. Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Multiplayer: boy, this was quite exciting especially if you had people over and played four players. It never got boring and you could play multiplayer for days. Another great addition to the Star Fox game. Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

THE BAD:
Difficulty: A pretty easy game in single mode. If you put your mind to it and actually play this nonstop,...

THE GOOD:
Good graphics
Strong sound-effects
Awesome music
Excellent control
varied and well-designed levels
Tons of enemies and great bosses
Extremely fun and enjoyable gameplay
Solid multiplayer
High-score challenges

THE BAD:
You can complete it in less than an hour
Not that detailed graphics

SUMMARY:
The sequel to the SNES-shooter Starfox turns out to be the best space-shooter on the N64.

Graphics: Pretty colorful and sharp, with some cool explosions and awesome-looking bosses. It's also supremely smooth, with the only downpoint being that it's not that detailed.

Sound: Loud and strong sound-effects, with some excellent voice-acting as well. The really great thing is the music, though, as there are some awesome tunes in here that really boasts the experience of the game. Fantastic stuff!

Gameplay: Great control, with lots of very varied and well-designed levels...

THE GOOD:
Voice acting!

THE BAD:
Slippy.

SUMMARY:
Visuals: great visuals for a very early N64 game.
The explosions are nice and lasers are fast and the lighting is average.
There are some very neat explosions featured though.
9/10

Audio:
Finally we have voice acting in english and none of that lylatian speech although you can change it back. It is good to hear everyone shouting command at each other etc.
The explosion sounds are nice and the lasers sound athentic.
8/10

gameplay: You just fly your ship/tank/submarine through loads of different planets trying to reach the last level where your nemesis, Andross, awaits. There are two endings. one where you don't really kill your nemesis, and one where you kill him for real and escape with the ghost of your father from an exploding tunnel. great stuff.
Also to unlock expert mode you have to get medals which are very hard to get. You must...

Excellent visuals, superb sound and great fast paced shoot'em up game play!

THE BAD:
Nothing really exceptthe game may be too easy for some.

SUMMARY:
"Huston we have a problem..."
I just got this game to borrow of a friend of mine. I traded it for Mario party and I thought this would be your average, "play for a few minutes" and leave it sort of game. Well boy was I surprised. This game Is one of the best if not the best shoot'em flying game in the n64! I've always had a nack for these kind of games and this game was really good. You play as Fox Macloud and your a fox! You have 3 team mates consisted of a falcon, hare and a toad. Anyway, you fly a ship called an Arwing around levels in order to save the Lylat system from the evil andross.

"Were flying!"
Basically throughout the game you fly through levels, shooting down and dog fighting other fighter ships, shhooting laser turrets all kinds of stuff. The gameplay...

SUMMARY:
This game is great fox star fox lovers, lots of levels, go into a tank and fly around in your ship! This is a very challanging game but when you beat it once you can beat it one thousand times for some reason I have beat this game so many times you should try this game or buy it.
