THE GOOD: The concept seems interesting enough and the files you collect manage to clue you in more as to what's going on. Survival elements, like limited item storage and the need to conserve bullets and herbs, are well implemented. There's also a good amount of replay value to be found with multiple endings and campaigns. It can also be fairly tense at times with its sound design.
THE BAD: Drab in-game storytelling backed up by terrible voice acting. Tank controls and fixed camera angles... let's just say we've stopped using this set up for a good reason. Puzzles tend to be easy more often than not, and some of them are just there because... why not? While it's tense at times, there's little pay off as the "horror" consists of predictable jump scares.
SUMMARY: Originally released on the Playstation 1 in 1998 by Capcom and ported over to the Nintendo 64 in 1999 by Angel Studios, Resident Evil 2 continues the story from the first game (the whole T-virus zombie thing) while standing as it...
THE GOOD: The Graphics are great, the sounds are good, the gameplay is great, Leon is awesome, Claire is very hot and Ada is HOTTER.
THE BAD: There are too many cheats from the gameshark which they didn't really work and almost messed up the game, the music are not scary, and it's too hard to get Tofu!!!! The story wasn't as good as the Original Resident Evil.
SUMMARY: What can I say the N64 is better then the DC verion. the Graphics are way better than DC version game(no more blocky graphics). The sounds are great except the zombies. The gameplay is way better than the Sega Dreamcast version. Leon is cool and ADA is hot. The game might cost like $15 dollars or $10 dollars very cheap though. People should buy this game it's funner than DC. I give this game a 3/5.
THE GOOD: Alomost everything, the graphix has definatly been improved, the weapons rock and so does the story line.
THE BAD: nothing.
SUMMARY: This game is the best resident evil I have played, the graphix is brilliant and when you kill zombies the blood and wounds look realistic and are very detailed. This game has a good story line that was fairly easy to complete but I had a strategy guide so what do u expect. The weapons are also brilliant although even the most powerful don't seem to kill the bosses quick enough. I would definatly recomend this game to anyone who likes horror and puzzle solving games. I would recomend that you buy a stratagy guide, if you are thinking of purchasing this game, I don't think I could have completed it without one.
If you don't like getting the #!@% scared out of you this game is not for you. Face your fears in the ultimate test of survival. Something is desperately wrong in Raccon City. A mysterious muta-genic has broken loose and the entire town is infested. Blood-thirsty zombies, hideous mutations now overwhelm the community. When Leon and Claire arrive in town their nightmare is just beginning. Now you Control their fate. The gameplay offers challenges, suspense and action. The graphics are awesome compared to some of the games on the N64 shelf. What I like about this game is the hidden game modes.(ex. The Fourth Survivor.) A bad thing about this game is the camera angles, most of the time a zombie is in the way of the camera and you end up getting your head bit off. Remember this when you play, "If the suspense doesn't kill you. Something else will..."
THE GOOD: -the weapons -the graphics -the gore -the characters the mind bending puzzles
THE BAD: -the way the camera is set up
SUMMARY: this game is freakin' killer (literally) it is soooooooooooooo much fun, especially with all weapons and invincibility and inf. ammo. just imagin being stuck in a city filled with hundreds of zombies, mutated dobermans called hellhounds, and to top it all off, there are a few cases where a big guy/zombie comes after you. the downfalls are few: 1.) not for those who just ate or are going to eat. there are massive amounts of blood (not that thats a bad thing) and it looks especially gory when you get killed. 2.) it is not first person, the camera stays in one location and switches around to a different spot when you go to another room or area. in short. the cameras don't rotate to follow your player.
there you have it. all in all, i'd give this game 7.5 out of 10. happy zombie killing
SUMMARY: well with everything there is a best, and with resident evil 2 its for the n64. this game has better graphics and sound then on the playstation. it also just feels better.
the graphics are great. you can actually make out what they are and what things say. nothing is blocky or blurred. the zombies look dead, the lickers look like they are bleeding, and the horribly mutated bad people look like... well horiily mutated bad people. the game does well in this department.
the sounds are really well done. you will try and listen for that foot step of a zombie around a corner, and that ever so haunting groan. each type of bad person has there own little creepy sound and the game does really well here too.
gameplay is just like anyother resident evil game. you must aim to shoot and you cannot run and shoot at the same time. this making boss fights really hard. there are some big guns, but ammo goes really quickl...
THE GOOD: great music, great sound, great graphics, awesome gamplay, nice and gory
THE BAD: small inventorys, cheats are hard to earn.
SUMMARY: this is one awesome game, one of the best on the N64 i highly recommend it, it is a hard game and takes skill and brains to complete. this game is an improvement over the playstation version because it has better graphics and unlike the playstation there isn't any long and boring loading.
