THE GOOD:
Pokemon game thats on the 64 and not on the Gameboy system, you can transfer your pokemon from the gameboy games into this via transfer pack, lots of great pokemon are advailable to use, and its a fun game when you get into it.

THE BAD:
Sometimes it gets boring and you feel like you're having to put up with a chore just when playing it.

SUMMARY:
When this came out, it was really something else. Everyone was so pumped and ready for a new pokemon game that isnt on the gameboy system, but rather on the N64 console. It turns out that it actually is a really great game and its worth the time that you take to play it, even though it may seem like it falls short when it comes to replayability.

First of all, you can import your pokemon that you've leveled up from the Pokemon Blue and Red versions via transfer pack. This helps out greatly because you can finally see those pokemon that you've been training on the big screen come to life when battling them in Pokemon stadium. Its really a better overall experience since this is the first one to be on a big screen too. I recommend this game for basically any pokemon fan, because you wont be disappointed. It has a really fun gameplay system to it where you can select your pokemon moves and have them actually do the attack with you seeing it, rather than a boring 25 cent animation. All in all, its really a great game if you dont have it and you like pokemon games, so I say go for it.

THE GOOD:
You can use Pokemon from your Game Boy game paks. Mini-games for up to 4 players. You can play GB Pokemon on your TV screen. You can manage your GB data.

THE BAD:
High difficulty level. Sometimes the Transfer Pak doesn't work properly. You have to save your GB date properly to use it. Not compatible with Pokemon Gold & Silver.

SUMMARY:
Nintendo made such a big fuss out of this game when it came out, and it certainly lives up to the hype. Basically this game gives Pokemon trainers the chance to be like Ash and battle their way to the top of the Pokemon heap. There are also mini-games for up to 4 players and a place where you can play your GB copy of Pokemon Red, Blue, or Yellow right on your TV.
A nice feature is that if you don't have your own Pokemon, you can rent Pokemon to use for battles instead, a nice feature for those who don't have any GB Pokemon games. You can also play a mode that lets you face the Gym Leaders from the anime series, up to your "rival" at the end. 2 players can also battle each other on a variety of levels. You'll find, however, that if you use rental Pokemon, the path to victory is much tougher. Also, sometimes when using the Transfer Pak, it likes to randomly have problems reading the Game Pak or staying connected to the N64 controller, which causes the game to stop or have problems starting up.
If you're a Pokemon fan, there's no reason not to have this game. Don't forget the minigames-they're a blast for up to 4 people!

This game is great for Pokemon lovers, or if you're just a fan of small cute furry stuff, except for some................

Fight gym leaders, tournaments, or just a friendly little match against a CPU!
Thats not all...there are an overwhelming 100 more Pokemon! Each with their own special stats and elements.
If you have Pokemon on the game boy, dont let them miss out on the 3D fun, if you have one if those thingies that let you play your game-boy games on the Nintendo, hook up your game and there you go!!

THE GOOD:
Um...I'm not sure. Um...*looks at the book* The graphics?

THE BAD:
*throws up* Do you really want to know?

SUMMARY:
Even when I actually liked Pokemon *sigh* (Those were the bad, old days.) I hated this. The graphics are okay. That's it. I haven't played this game in years. Someone might see me! I have my dignity at stake! The creepy, little filth called computers cheat! I'm serious! Even I know that a certain Pokemon doesn't have that attack. The mini-games are also horrid. Taking pictures wasn't so bad, though. If you move the camera over far enough, you won't have to take a picture of a Pokemon. This game was $60. I don't get it. Rayman 2 was $20, and it was so much better. This game is just so awful. Pokemon think they're so cool. It's horrible. Don't buy it, whatever you do! I'm begging you! It's awful! *starts crying* It's just *gasp* so *gasp* bad! *wipes away tears* I'm gonna be sick. *runs into bathroom*

N64  The Pokémon Game That Rocks! 5.0

One day when I was a small ten-year-old boy--I played pokemon cards with the "dudes" around my block that I maid a wish which was " I wish that a pokemon game were to exist for the Nintendo 64 console 'me too'" said Xerepolis (Oscar) and his friends. After a couple of months, a Pokemon game finally was created and to my surprise, it was on the Nintendo64 (N64) console! I was so happy that I ran to the nearest phone in my house and called the nearest gaming store in my town. They said that they will get the game on the date this game would be released but I got mind three days earlier than the average of the people around my block (I was a good friend with the shop owner [Joe Sic was his name]). Well, I finally got the game and popped it in my N64 console and to my surprise; the intro was "lame" and horrible! Oh my "arm pits" (That is stating that the intro wasn't that great)--I thought that an animal made that intro! I was actually expecting that the intro would be a small cut-scene of the game or even a mini-movie but nothing--it was just a plain pikachu and a Pokemon letter banner with a poke-ball flying or just standing still in that lettered out pokemon banner (It just said "Pokemon Stadium"). Maybe there was an intro but I wouldn't wait for it so all I did was press start and check the "joint" (the game [features]) out. Now on what I said about the intro of this game, my hypercritical gets a bit out of hand when coming up with this sort of intros but I regret on what I said because ones playing this game you actually find out that this game is fortunately worth playing. Why? Because it has so much areas to play in such as arena, miscellaneous (its not really called like that but here you get to do something else that is not related with battles), Championships, import your friends pokemon so you can fight with them (memory card is necessary in order to play in this area), and as Ash (the main character of this game). In arena mode, the map layers and pokemon are design very well. The only think I didn't like in this area (arena mode) is that the pokemon do not do a close up damage (I was expecting to see that the pokemon that does the attack gets close to the other pokemon and does a direct attack to the other pokemon). Note: The pokemons in arena are just borrowed and cannot be used in other sections in this game (they aren't actually the actual pokemons--they are just simply dittos [gum like pokemons] that have the ability to transform themselves to other pokemons). Arena mode can be used to know each and every single pokemon in this game (as for the secret pokemon [Mewtwo])--also it makes you better in battling other pokemon or dueling with one of your fellow-friend around your "joint". I liked this part of the game because it's just fun to play in because you get to battle with other pokemon as it is where to be a championship we are fighting for! Now for the championship games, you must play the poke-leagues such as: Small leagues (for small pokemon) Strong leagues (for strong pokemons), and the rest of the leagues! I think this league thing is quite great, but wouldn't it been better if there only seem to be one league for all of the pokemons? I'm not stating that this part of the game is not worth playing but it will be much fun to watch every single pokemon participate in this sort of leagues! In the leagues all you do is battle with the pokemons that are in the database and if you win you will get a toffee. I think--instead of the toffee's, why not a new gaming option or a secret pokemon! From now, I think they should have done something better to this section of the game but what was made is made... Going on, one of my all time favorite sections in this game is the trainer league match--it is just like on television but you are the one that is coordinating Ash (in the game it is you) and not the pokemon anime creator! It is just like on television--you get to walk around and fight the gym leaders for their price (a small gym). Fight three other characters that come before the main gym leader as to show your worthiness. Ones you have beaten all of the gym leaders and gotten a certain amount of "gems" than you can fight the last gym leader so you can get the secret pokemon! Now this part of the game I did like because first of all it is fun to play in this section, it is very entertaining to watch how your pokemon fight against the other pokemons so you can win the gym's pries (sad to say that your pokemon is the one that does all the dirty work), it is just like the television series, and you can level up your pokemons so they can become stronger and better! I like the feature on where we can level up are pokemon (You can also level up your pokemons in VS. player mode, league championships, etc.), and see the textures of the gym maps. This is possibly my all time favorite part of the game and for this section of the game, this game will get a high rating score in this review (it didn't just get a high score for this review, but for many others as well). Now I thought that it was just about it with the game (what more can I ask for [!]) when I came across with many other pokemon mini-games, which I title them, miscellaneous! I loved this part of the game because we stay out of battling and go into another fun mode to play with this lovable pokemon characters. There are button rhythm games with the clefaries, digging a hole with that yellow pokemon, eating the most plates with multiple pokemons, running with ratata, electric shot rhythm with the lovable and friendly pikachus, the harden technique with the bizarre metapodes and kakunas, the game where you need to catch hoops with the arboks, and etc. (so on). This is a very entertainment section in this game and it just gets your mind of on all that battling! This is possibly the most lovable and friendliest section in this game. I said to my friends, "I truly loved this section because it is so lovable and friendly!" my friends just ignored but I didn't give a damn because I love this game! The graphics are okay and the sound effects as well as the music coordinate with the television series and with the game mood. I just can't stop talking and chatting on the Internet about this game! I truly love this game and I was planning to make a special shrine and have special security guards take care of the precious game to me (sarcasm). I will rate this game a five out of five (5/5). The introduction of this game is for the least on what this game is worth--it is worth to buy and rent.

THE GOOD:
GB n64 tranfer is a good idea, nice graphics.

THE BAD:
Virtually everything else. Horrible sound, that annoying announcer, Inaccurate stats, boring, the battles feel like playing rock paper scicsors,no depth at all, frustrating. THIS IS NOT A 3D POKEMON GAME.

SUMMARY:
Let's start this review off with a comment that sums up the game: Pokemon stadium is nothing more than attempt to gain cash by nintendo, it's nothing but RPG battles that are stripped of any stratagy at all.

Whew.

When I got the game, I was excited. Sure, I knew it wasn't an actual pokemon game in 3d, but just battling my pokemon from my gameboy in 3D sounded great.

The problem is, when the pokemon becuase 3D, they seem to lose everything that made them good in 2d. How you ask?

Since this game features no items, no level up options, and idiotic battle rules there is no stratagy at all. You simply throw out a pokemon and start wailing away, no thinking required. But an RPG battle HAS to have stratagy right? Appearantly, gamefreak didn't think so.

So ok, every pokemon in the game is at level 50 and you don't have to unlock really any of them (which is stupid) but, I figured if I upload my pokemon from my GB game it would all be ok.

When I did I realized something, once you DO upload your pokemon team onto the n64, every pokemon in the game magically gets the level of your strongest pokemon. Example: If your strongest pokemon is at level 70, all the pokemon you will battle agianst will also be at level 70. Now, I'm sorry but does that DEFEAT THE WHOLE POINT of the GB tranfer?

Besides the crappy battles, Stadium has a small collection of minigames that are BORING and depthless.

The multiplayer is the games strongest feature, but it's only useful if you have two GB pokemon games. Other than that, it's just as bad as the rest of the game.

Looking for a good RPG for the n64? Well go buy orge battle, Pokemon stadium is the worst choice you can make. I only recommend renting this...for a 8 year old.

THE GOOD:
I actually like this game. The graphics were good, and the music was pretty good too. I don't like Pokemon all that much, but I got hours of enjoyment out of this game. I like the little mini games you could do, and the elite four, and almost everything.

THE BAD:
There isn't much that I thought was bad, but I didn't like how weak some of the pokemon were, and how you couldn't really level up.

SUMMARY:
Overall this game was pretty good. The mini games were the best, and I liked the one on one battles.

So I gave this game a 3 out of 5, mostly because I don't like pokemon that much, but that only took away 1 point. ^^

THE GOOD:
3D Battles, prize Pokemon you can earn, fairly good minigames

THE BAD:
the odds seem to always be against you. For instance when you are confused you will always hurt yourself n stuff.

SUMMARY:
This game is a great game to battle all your Pokemon from Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow.

The graphics are nice in this game. It's cool seeing all our Pokemon battle in 3D.

The sound is ok, but its more of midis and elevator music.

The minigames are kinda fun too but get boring after awhile.

Graphics: 10
the graphics are superb. Also you can play the Red, Blue, and Yellow versions on your N64.

Sound: 5

This is where the game suffers. Instead of the real pokemon sound effects you here the sounds from the Gameboy version of pokemon which I thought ruined the game.

Gameplay: 8
Nice structure of gameplay in this game, even the mini games were fun to play. The good thing I liked about this was you can use your pokemon from you red, blue and yellow versions.
