The Pokémon series is a very popular money maker for Nintendo. Their handheld RPGs have raked in the money and established the series as one of Nintendo's biggest names. So it comes as no surprise that spin-offs have come with the Pokémon name stamped on them. Pokémon Snap is probably one of the more weird ideas, in which you shoot Pokémon... with a camera. Yet what initially seems like the result of one too many late-night drinking sessions actually turns out to be a rather pleasant distraction from the main series.

As mentioned the game revolves around taking pictures. You play the role of Todd, a photographer who aims to take magnificent pictures of Pokémon and so gets to explore the sanctuary of Pokémon Island thanks to Professor Oak to take his pictures... or something like that. I never really paid much attention to why I was doing it, but rather focuses on the task itself.

Freedom of movement isn't...

THE GOOD:
It's a very good game for ous to now the pokemon and all the surronding things. I havent played the game yet soo i dont now mutch about it but the game looks very impecable.
Some good thinks are like you include carachters of the cartoon and game. Tood is a really good reporter and if you can achive the quality of him in this game is a good thing for it.

THE BAD:
There isnt all the pokemons from the game and is not so exciting has other games. The other factor is the graphic detail. I saw some pics of the game and the details aren't so good has that

SUMMARY:
I think is a very good game and its worth to try but io think there are other good games of photoshooting and pokemon. But i would love to have this game. I also think that this game isn't really a kids game. I really don't now to what group of age is this game has like a reference.

THE GOOD:
Not a bad game to play when you're bored.

Taking pictures of different Pokemon.

The graphics are good.

THE BAD:
There's hardly any gameplay.

The controls ain't that good.

Not enough levels.

It get's boring quickly

SUMMARY:
Difficulty: Medium

This is one of the only Pokemon games I've played. I rented this game a long time ago after I saw a commercial advertising it and I thought it looked instresting so I rented and I was dissapoint. It's not a really a bad game though. It's okay. Their's a couple good points about this game as I stated in "The Good". I just found more bad points about it than good. If this game had better controls I would rate it a 3.2/5.

If you are a big Pokemon fan or you want some originality you could try Pokemon Snap out by giving it a rent. If you like it you could buy it if you want.

I rate this game a 2.7/5

THE GOOD:
Pokemon Snap has really awesome graphics and for some reason, it is really addictive! People keep saying that it's not worth your money because you can win it in an hour but if you try and beat the challenge scores and keep beating your old record scores on photos then you've got tons to do!

THE BAD:
There isn't really a storyline and not every Pokemon is included but the addictive gameplay makes up for that.

SUMMARY:
Pokemon Snap is a really awesome game that I'd recommend to anyone whether you like Pokemon or not. It isn't like the traditional style of Pokemon where you catch and train but if you loved doing that you'll still like the great graphics and Pokemon interaction in Pokemon Snap. A game that's had a lot of detail put into its graphics and also one that anyone who loves Pokemon or not would enjoy!

THE GOOD:
Very unique gameplay concept. Very good graphics. You can make stamps of pictures you take.

THE BAD:
Not a "typical" Pokemon game. High challenge level.

SUMMARY:
At first glance this appears to be a typical Pokemon title, but with one big difference-you're actually not trying to capture Pokemon...well, you are, just capture them in pictures! You play as Todd, a Pokemon Photographer who's trying to take pictures of Pokemon for Professor Oak, and good quality pictures at that.
At first it's fun trying to take their pictures-you can zoom in & out, move to different angles, even use food & rocks to interact with Pokemon...some of the poses you can get are so funny they're priceless! There also are certain challenges you must complete as well, so a bit of strategy's required too. The Pokemon look really good both far away and up close. When you're finished, you can take your game to certain locations with Snap machines and, for a small...

THE GOOD:
~Taking Pictures
~63 Pokemon
~7 Awesome Places to go to
~Cool Items to use

THE BAD:
~Too Short

SUMMARY:
This is an Awesome game about pokemon. Instead of Catching the pokemon, you concentrate on taking pictures of them.

From Sunny beaches, Dark Caves, Hot Volcanoes, Peaceful Swamps, And Rapid River Valley's, you get to take pictures of over 60 different pokemon. Most Pokemon Are Right out in the open, but for some of them, its like figuring out a Puzzle.

The Graphics are 3D, which is really awesome. During the game, you get special items that make some pokemon do cool things. Try to earn as many points as you can to unlock The Secret level and to finish your pokemon Report for Professor Oak. Do a good job and you will get many points, take sloppy pistures and he wont accept them.

Experiment with the differnt items, and maybe a Pokemon will do something cool for you. The only problem I have with this...

THE GOOD:
The items you use, the scenery that surrounds you and the pokemon you take pictures of! Also the actions the pokemon use are very cute in some ways!

THE BAD:
The length of the game, you could finish it in about 30 mins. Your vehicle is on a set track and you can't move it where you want. You cannot stop your vehicle to take good pictures, you are always moving. The Graphics and title screen are horrendous.

SUMMARY:
Pokemon Snap is the first and probably last game of Pokemon where you can take pictures of Pokemon to go into your album. The Aim of the game is to take brilliant Photos at good angles to get enough points to get to the next stage.
You are in this little vehicle that goes down a track, but you can't stop it which is a shame, but you can speed it up and slow it down which also helps. You have a camera where you can sort of zoom in and out in a way, and can take pictures of Pokemon in good poses.
You...

THE GOOD:
Innovative concept.
Some challenge.
Addictive.

THE BAD:
Not all Pokemon included.
You cannot move your car-boat-hover whatchamacallit.
Blocky graphics.
Repetitive.

SUMMARY:
Ok....Before I get on this review, let me say something. There were Pokemon everywhere. There were earrings, movies, candy, cereal, and all other objects, including video games, on Pokemon! But now, the saga has been losing its luster. I never see any card competitions on the street anymore and I never see anyone yelling that their Charmander card has been flushed down the toilet or no one shouting about their super-special Poke-card losing a game of cardboard. The TV series always shows reruns, and now you get a feeling that the Poke-saga has been totally deserted...almost. This game is keeping the Poke-World alive and is so addictive that it is still a so-so game for the new millenium. I usually let the profile page describe what a game is about,...

THE GOOD:
Very calm, nice bright colours, (not too bright) lovely landscapes, and adorable pokemon! Great selection of music too.

THE BAD:
They only have about less than half of the pokemon in the game, and it was very short. You should have been able to interact more.

SUMMARY:
Pokemon Snap really is only for someone who loves Pokemon, or wants to practise photography. Dont get me wrong, I loved this game! But now...I havent played it for a year...I did like it, but after a few times of completing it, it does start to lose the spark...(no, not Pika power ) You can easily complete the game in a little over an hour if you know where all the secret pokemon are and you know what you are doing! Nevertheless, I really did like this game. I dont recommend it to people who arent too keen on pokemon, as you will hate it. Its lovely to see all the pokemon frolicing...

THE GOOD:
Looks really nice
Original, there is really nothing quite like it
Lots of fun
Quite addictive
very high replay-value

THE BAD:
Short and easy
too few Pokemons available

SUMMARY:
Graphics: Very clear and colorful, varied and sharp, with good-looking Pokemon's. No complaints here.

Sound: There isn't that many tunes, but those who are here are pretty good. The sound-effects are standard stuff.

Gameplay: Fresh, unique and enjoyable, and also surprisingly addictive. It's really easy, mind, and there are way too few Pokemon's to photograf.

Lifespan: You will finish it in a few day's time, but you will come back, both for high-score challenges and because it is so fun.

Overall: Short and easy, yes, but also unique, fun and addictive. All Pokemon fans should buy it.
