F-1 World Grand Prix II is a riveting racing game for the Nintendo 64 that's based on the 1998 Formula One season. It includes all 22 drivers, 11 teams, and 16 courses used in F-1 in 1998. The game includes a wide range of difficulty levels, from Rookie, where driving is simple and the AI handles braking and shifting, to Champion, where cars will spin out under the control of less experienced racers. Players have a lot of control over the way each race is run by changing the weather and number of laps, or by making changes to the amount of damage sustained by hitting other cars and enabling or disabling fuel consumption and tire wear. In the paddock drivers can make adjustments to their cars' equipment and setup to affect handling and performance. F-1 World Grand Prix includes single races, a full 16-race championship season, and a challenge mode that pits players into difficult situations modelled after events that occurred in the actual 1998 F-1 season. This game was released only in Europe.
