Background

In the early days of the Cold War, a meteor crashes to earth, bringing with it a strange new alien metal. Using this new substance, both sides in the space race are able to make advances in the fields of technology and arms. But if small amounts made their way to earth, how much more might lie on other planets and moons of the solar system? Playing Battlezone, it is your job to ensure that your side finds any deposits of this 'bio metal' before the other or the fate of the world will be in the hands of the enemy.

Gameplay

Battlezone takes place on the planets and moons of the solar system, the missions taking you as either the American or Soviet forces on a journey of discovery to find the location and the story of the bio metal deposits. With apparently straightforward missions turning into complex manoeuvring as objectives change, Battlezone captures the mood of a tense race for supreme control as you battle against the enemy units in a variety of settings.

With a multitude of units and weapons, fight for control of seven different planets. Travel from the foggy dust storms of Mars, through the harsh and sulphuric environment of Venus, to the frozen and distant Titan in search of the means to ensure your country controls the future of Planet Earth itself!
