THE GOOD:
Features Tony Hawk & several other pro skaters. Excellent soundtrack. Realistic gameplay.

THE BAD:
Subpar graphics. Difficult to learn controls at first. High difficulty.

SUMMARY:
The first of the wildly popular THPS titles to hit consoles, the N64 version is good but obviously pales in comparison to it's counterparts on PS1 & Dreamcast. It has the same features-play as Tony Hawk or several other skaters, ability to buy new boards to increase akaters' attributes, and lots of different tricks & specials for each skater-but clearly suffers in graphics. The frame rate's not as smooth as it's CD-based counterparts, and there's a lot of "fog" in the background due to lack of processing power. Also, the controls take a while to learn at first, so don't expect to bust off 900s right away. This contributes to a high difficulty level at first, so it requires a lot of patience.
Once you get it all down, though, it's a fun & unique gaming experience thanks to a variety of tricks and different environments. If you have another system, then get their version over this one...I only recommend this one if you have an N64. It's not a bad title by any means, just doesn't look very good compared to other console versions.

THE GOOD:
First Tony Hawk
Insanely fun

THE BAD:
Sound is horrible
Graphics are cloudy

SUMMARY:
This was the first Tony Hawk game that I played. I had a lot of fun with this game. I beat both of my friends in two player mode, even though I was new at playing the game. Single player was really good too. It took me some time to get a gold in Roswell. If you only played this on N64, then you'll be okay. If you've played this on either PSone or Dreamcast, you probably won't want to play this game on N64. The C buttons on the N64 controller are too small and you will constantly be hitting the wrong button. The sound is just awful too. Any other console has real music on its version of Tony Hawk, not these butchered versions of the songs.

Bottom Line:
If you only got the N64 then get this one. Otherwise go ahead and get another console's version.

THE GOOD:
- Begining of the THPS series
- Bring back the classics
- Neat Tricks
- Shows how much they've evolved

THE BAD:
- Horrible Graphics
- Not enough of a Charactor selection
- Gets the MUTE button!

SUMMARY:
I really don't know what to say about this game. Its for sure a cheap game but yet very lame and horrible with the graphics. If you're into Skating and love the games buy it but if your just a gamer don't. Thats pretty self-explanitory.
