Golden Axe II

THE GOOD:
Great side scrolling beat 'em up
Ability to use some magic instead of just all of it

The animals are not as good as the first game
The levels are more flat and less interesting than the first game

SUMMARY:
Golden Axe II was the sequel to the arcade hit Golden Axe. You play as Ax-Battler the Barbarian, Tyris Flare the Amazon or Gilius Thunderhead the Dwarf. Each of these characters lost a close relative to Death Adder who you fought in the last game. Since evil has now returned to the land these 3 warriors have risen up again to protect the land.

The 3 warriors have got a combination of magic and weapons at their disposal. Most of the fighting will be done with the hand to hand weapon (an axe for Gilius or a sword).
