THE GOOD: Incredible graphics and sound. Decent voice acting and animations. Great multiplayer and storyline.
THE BAD: not much.
SUMMARY: WOW! That about sums this game up. It has all the good, and a whole lot less of the bad than most games of this type. Edios gave us awesome levels, with hidden objectives, if you know where to look, and incredibal AI. Though these levels lack sniper points, they do offer up some very good gun fights. Siberia is a very good level, on easy or normal. Hard takes this game to a level that many others hope to reach. Being a very skilled shooter and gamer, I was amazed to find my ass handed to me on the Hard difuculty setting. The aiming and other controls are superb. The reticals are very easy to see when in use, and they aiming is smooth and responsive. Even so, many people with love testing their skills with this game. The story line is a little hard to follow, but other wise very good. There is always enough...
THE GOOD: ~The graphics ~The game play ~The many game modes ~Fun
THE BAD: ~Story is a bit weak ~A bit to cartoony for some
SUMMARY: This game at first did look a bit dodgy but I looked at what it got out of the Official Aussie Mag and it got 9.3 /10 which is really good. I got the game thinking that it would just be an average game, but I was wrong, this game is awesome.
The game play is the major asset I look for in a game, as a game could have crap graphics but it is fun to play. This game however has really fun game play that will last you for a long time. There are many different modes such as Story mode, Arcade league, Arcade custom , challenge mode and map maker mode.
Story mode can be a single game or you can take 4 of your buddies and kick ass. There are only 10 missions though for you to choose from but they will take you across different time periods like the 1630's right up to the 2460's. There are some...
THE GOOD: Map Maker Music Many characters Cool missions Many challenges and things to do Nice story
THE BAD: Maybe too strong auto aim? Not as serious as a FPS should be
SUMMARY: I just love this game, and that's why you should buy it now! Yes this is a ultimate FPS and it's very diffrent from other FPS like Perfect Dark, Metroid Prime and Counter-Strike. Let's go into more detalied information!
Graphics: Very nice! Not as good as Metroid Prime, but still very nice. The graphics even get's better when you're close to for exampe the wall. I dont like the explosions too much though, but it's better than TS1. I would really reccomend you to buy the GC version (insted of the PS2 version) just because of the graphics on the GC. I havent played the XBox version though.
Sound: WOW! This is a REALLY good part! I just love the music in this game. And when I say that it's good; I really mean it!...
Graphics: One one player mode the graphics are superb. I know Gamecube can do better but for a PS2 port they are sensational! Multiplayer is a little different though for you cannot see the detail but trust me its there! And please don't listen to your friends if they tell you not to buy it cause it hasn't any blood because you hardly notice it and it is suppose to that way! Graphics:8/10
Audio: You have a wide range of music dating back from the 40s andf 50s to the distant future and also preasent. The audio has been mastered beautifully and are the best around besides LoZ:Oot and Metriod Prime! But overall they are sensational! Audio:9/10
Gameplay:The controls are easy enough and give you a sense of direction and you can dodge bullet easier! The challenges can get frustrating at times but trust me you'll persevere! Overall a good fun game to play on your own or with your mates! Gameplay:8/10
SUMMARY: Timesplitters 2 has been virtually buried in hype. Such things as "best FPS ever" and some have even said "best game ever". Why then, does it leave me so cold?
Because the hype is wrong. Don't misunderstand. Here is a great game but hardly the best and does have many faults.
OK, graphically the game is only average and not really pushing the Gamecube even slightly. Equally the sounds are uninspired and only serve their job, nothing more.
The biggest fault is the storymode. Aside from the lacking storyline the style changes too often. One level sees you employing stealth to sneak around. The next will see an out-and-out blast fest. It does this all the way through and is extremely annoying.
The arcade and challenge modes offer something different and enjoyable. The different types of challanges are grouped to avoid confusion and offer varied...
THE GOOD: Multiplayer The crazy characters The mapmaker
THE BAD: Maybe too many characters...
SUMMARY: One word. Fantastic. I remember getting this game on my birthday and playing it for the first time. The game's graphics are quite cool, especially the excellent cutscenes (especially the beginning!). The techno music may not be to everyone's taste but it's music to my ears (Well, I do like Aphex Twin).
The mapmaker and the e-x-t-e-n-s-i-v-e multiplayer make this game very impossible to put down [it took me three hours to write this review]. But if there's one flaw, it's possibly TOO MANY DAMN CHARACTERS.
THE BAD: no real bad, but lots of cheap short charcters, and no team elimnation mode.
SUMMARY: the only real problem i am having is try to get this game up over the internet, for multi player.but that is not really important.becuase i will be busy playing the multi player, becuse with the bots you dont really need anyone else. i just wish they where a little bit harder.when i compare this game to golden eye 64 and perfect dark 64, this game really please's me.
THE GOOD: Great graphics and fluid gameplay. Near-unlimited multiplayer options, a vast improvement on the diabolical original. Comes with a great level editor.
THE BAD: Dissapointing single-player and can often bo too hard and rely on trial and error as opposed to pure skill, far too much of a comedy shooter to be as enjoyable as it could've been.
SUMMARY: First up, if anyone truley believes that this game betters Rare's seminal N64-saving first person shooter, then they need their goldenEyes examined. Its good, I'd go as far as to say that its great, but it just lacks that certain... it.
Timesplitters 2 is the sequal to a pretty nasty original. Timesplitters was bland and boring, with little to no storyline and excitement, thank goodness this sequal is ten times better.
Timesplitters 2 has a storyline this time round - an evil race known as the Timesplitters have stolen 'time crystals', and intend to use them to alter...
THE GOOD: a hell of a lot of multiplayer modes including co-op, and a challenge mode to unlock charactors and weopons. tons of weopons play with and to unlock.Map editor feature
THE BAD: Map Editor only lets you use 2 blocks of memory, so you can only make small levels
SUMMARY: When my cousin came over for thanksgiving he had the game "Time Splitters" on his Gamecube, and ofcourse i wanted to try it out. Jeese, that game got me hooked on it for hours! We played for 2 hours straight, first with the co-op missions, then a 4-split screen multiplayer which is CRAZY! This game is fast paced AND realistic (like shooting the head and other body parts gives the opponent more damage) which makes it one of the best first-person shooter concole games i've ever played! And you can have like 12 other computer players play at once, (so all 4 players can be alied).
Another cool feature is the "Challenge Mode", in which you play to earn...
THE GOOD: great multi, Hours of fun 2 player singal mission
THE BAD: only 10 singal player level Buggy
SUMMARY: This is the game i have been waiting for i wanted a good FPS for my game cuba and this is it it has hours of fun and challanges in multi alone although you will run into glitchs i once killed someone he died on a ramp but he didn't die his body stady there and i got stuck this was annyoing, Also this game has it's own map maker i have never seen this is a Consol FPS and was amazed by it but you can only build small maps i do suggest buying it it is the next bond and i love it so very much
