THE GOOD:
Incredible graphics and sound. Decent voice acting and animations. Great multiplayer and storyline.

THE BAD:
not much.

SUMMARY:
WOW! That about sums this game up. It has all the good, and a whole lot less of the bad than most games of this type. Edios gave us awesome levels, with hidden objectives, if you know where to look, and incredibal AI. Though these levels lack sniper points, they do offer up some very good gun fights. Siberia is a very good level, on easy or normal. Hard takes this game to a level that many others hope to reach. Being a very skilled shooter and gamer, I was amazed to find my ass handed to me on the Hard difuculty setting. The aiming and other controls are superb. The reticals are very easy to see when in use, and they aiming is smooth and responsive. Even so, many people with love testing their skills with this game. The story line is a little hard to follow, but other wise very good. There is always enough guns for you to use and plenty of enemys for you. That is the other good thing about this game. The enemys increase in number with the difuculty! easy has very few, normal moderate, hard tons. Even the bots aiming gets better! I mean damn, when you are shooting like a mad man at one guy, he picks you off in the head. That is awesome! As if Edios needed to add to this packedge there is at least 11 different multiplayer modes. Every one with attributes that make it very fun. To top it all off there is an arcade league, a challenge mode and a map maker! Not only can you unlock 100+ charectors you can make custom maps too! Over all this game is an awesome buy. Though the hard difilculty may frustrate some people, it still is a good game.

THE GOOD:
~The graphics
~The game play
~The many game modes
~Fun

THE BAD:
~Story is a bit weak
~A bit to cartoony for some

SUMMARY:
This game at first did look a bit dodgy but I looked at what it got out of the Official Aussie Mag and it got 9.3 /10 which is really good.
I got the game thinking that it would just be an average game, but I was wrong, this game is awesome.

The game play is the major asset I look for in a game, as a game could have crap graphics but it is fun to play. This game however has really fun game play that will last you for a long time. There are many different modes such as Story mode, Arcade league, Arcade custom , challenge mode and map maker mode.

Story mode can be a single game or you can take 4 of your buddies and kick ass. There are only 10 missions though for you to choose from but they will take you across different time periods like the 1630's right up to the 2460's. There are some cool levels but the story line is weak as all you really have to do is find these time crystals but they get you to do all these other objectives. You might be on Earth for some of the missions but you might be on some alien worlds. On the easy difficulty there isn't much to the levels but when you go on harder difficulties the levels increase in size dramatically.

Arcade league is one of the most fun thiungs you will ever do in this game (actually you might play this mode more than the story line). There are many challenges in this mode as you have ameteur league, honarary league and elite league. Obviosly it goes from easy to hard. This mode will keep you occupied for quite some time. The different modes in this are: Death match (kill all), Team deathmatch (kill all on the opposing team, Vampire (you need to kill in order to live, you can chnge the blood lust level), Thief (Kill people and collect their tokens), Gladiator (kill the Gladiator to score points), Monkey assistant (If your losing, monkeys will appear and help you), Assault (Infiltrate a base with infinite lives and on a team, very hard), Regeneration (Your health regenerates all the time), Flame tag (Some one is on fire and you need to run away from that person or kill them with the least amount of time) Virus (Some one has the virus, like gang up tag) And more.

Arcade custom is the same ezcept you can have system link, aslo you can of course customize your settings.

Challenge mode is a mode where they may pit you in a room where you can not escape and wave after wave of infinte zombies attack you and you need to score points and survive. Awards are give out like bronze, silver etc. These give you bonuses such as cheats and new characters.

Characters are really unusual in this game as you can be a trooper to a mafia guy to a ginger bread man to a snow man to an alien and to a riot officer. There are so many characters for you to unlock and some of them are quite funny.

The cool thing about this game is that it comes with a map maker where you can make your own levels, put enemies in it and customize the light settings. This mode doesn't allow you to create out door levels but hey you can't beet a 5 by 5 metre room with 9 other bots in it with flame throwers or even rocket launchers.
The music and sound are great (kind of sounds like Goldeneye). The thing is about this game is that they kind of took things and ideas from other games and shows, like Star gate and Perfect dark.

Overall this is an enjoable game that is worth your money so I suggest that if you love FPS games, then get this.

THE GOOD:
Map Maker
Music
Many characters
Cool missions
Many challenges and things to do
Nice story

THE BAD:
Maybe too strong auto aim?
Not as serious as a FPS should be

SUMMARY:
I just love this game, and that's why you should buy it now!
Yes this is a ultimate FPS and it's very diffrent from other FPS like Perfect Dark, Metroid Prime and Counter-Strike. Let's go into more detalied information!

Graphics: Very nice! Not as good as Metroid Prime, but still very nice. The graphics even get's better when you're close to for exampe the wall. I dont like the explosions too much though, but it's better than TS1. I would really reccomend you to buy the GC version (insted of the PS2 version) just because of the graphics on the GC. I havent played the XBox version though.

Sound: WOW! This is a REALLY good part! I just love the music in this game. And when I say that it's good; I really mean it! The music here is boosting the rest of the game. You can even listen to old TS1 tunes here. Ultra music!

Gameplay: You can play on missions with objectves, you cn play multiplayer against bots or friends (up to 4 on the GC version), or you can take challenges and win new characters. The really unique thing with this game is that you can make your own maps! yes you can even make missions with objectives, weapons, enemies and much, much more!

Lifespan: Well, well, well! It's freaking better than Perfect Dark! Yes, with the map-maker ability, all missions (with 3 difficulties) and lots of challenges, you'll seriousily never really stop playing this game. The only little mistake is that you can't beat your own records later because it isn't a stop watch on the missions, but whatever!

Overall: This is the most unique FPS ever! Buy it now!

Graphics: One one player mode the graphics are superb. I know Gamecube can do better but for a PS2 port they are sensational! Multiplayer is a little different though for you cannot see the detail but trust me its there! And please don't listen to your friends if they tell you not to buy it cause it hasn't any blood because you hardly notice it and it is suppose to that way!
Graphics:8/10

Audio: You have a wide range of music dating back from the 40s andf 50s to the distant future and also preasent. The audio has been mastered beautifully and are the best around besides LoZ:Oot and Metriod Prime! But overall they are sensational!
Audio:9/10

Gameplay:The controls are easy enough and give you a sense of direction and you can dodge bullet easier! The challenges can get frustrating at times but trust me you'll persevere! Overall a good fun game to play on your own or with your mates!
Gameplay:8/10

Lifespan:There is enough challenges (from: behead the undead and flame tag)to last for months apon end and can take a year to complete 100%!
Lifespan: 9/10

Alternative: The only other first person shooter is Metriod Prime.

GC  After all the hype... 4.0

THE GOOD:
Challenge Mode
Humour

THE BAD:
Storymode
Bland

SUMMARY:
Timesplitters 2 has been virtually buried in hype. Such things as "best FPS ever" and some have even said "best game ever". Why then, does it leave me so cold?

Because the hype is wrong. Don't misunderstand. Here is a great game but hardly the best and does have many faults.

OK, graphically the game is only average and not really pushing the Gamecube even slightly. Equally the sounds are uninspired and only serve their job, nothing more.

The biggest fault is the storymode. Aside from the lacking storyline the style changes too often. One level sees you employing stealth to sneak around. The next will see an out-and-out blast fest. It does this all the way through and is extremely annoying.

The arcade and challenge modes offer something different and enjoyable. The different types of challanges are grouped to avoid confusion and offer varied tasks.

Now the multiplayer. All I can say is... average. There are some nice game modes in there but not enough to make it stand out from the rest. It is actually on par with the N64 TWINE! Completely average.

Finally the mapmaker. This could have been a fantastic addition but the limited memory allocated for each map is too little to enable the player to build any decent maps.

Overall a nice package that doesn't quite stand out from the crowd. It definitely wasn't worth the hype.

ALTERNATIVES:
Metroid Prime (GC)
James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing (GC)

THE GOOD:
Multiplayer
The crazy characters
The mapmaker

THE BAD:
Maybe too many characters...

SUMMARY:
One word. Fantastic. I remember getting this game on my birthday and playing it for the first time. The game's graphics are quite cool, especially the excellent cutscenes (especially the beginning!). The techno music may not be to everyone's taste but it's music to my ears (Well, I do like Aphex Twin).

The mapmaker and the e-x-t-e-n-s-i-v-e multiplayer make this game very impossible to put down [it took me three hours to write this review]. But if there's one flaw, it's possibly TOO MANY DAMN CHARACTERS.

GC  Timesplitters 2 4.0

THE GOOD:
Great graphics and fluid gameplay. Near-unlimited multiplayer options, a vast improvement on the diabolical original. Comes with a great level editor.

THE BAD:
Dissapointing single-player and can often bo too hard and rely on trial and error as opposed to pure skill, far too much of a comedy shooter to be as enjoyable as it could've been.

SUMMARY:
First up, if anyone truley believes that this game betters Rare's seminal N64-saving first person shooter, then they need their goldenEyes examined. Its good, I'd go as far as to say that its great, but it just lacks that certain... it.

Timesplitters 2 is the sequal to a pretty nasty original. Timesplitters was bland and boring, with little to no storyline and excitement, thank goodness this sequal is ten times better.

Timesplitters 2 has a storyline this time round - an evil race known as the Timesplitters have stolen 'time crystals', and intend to use them to alter history, wiping out the human race. Its up to you to stop them.

One fo the most amusing things about this game is the way that the levels are played at different times in history - there's 1930's Chicago, the Wild West, Notre Dame, and many futuristic levels, culminating in the final showdown atop a space station in the far future. Sadly, the story just isn't believeable (I know its fictional, but you'll see what I mean), fortunatly, there's something that saves this:

The gameplay. Its absolute class. Slightly frantic, and with a strong unrealisitc, comic edge, witch can either be a good or a bad thing depending on your tastes. Sadly, the game requires less skill than some shooters do, but its so much fun that it really doesn't matter.

Whilst the single-player dissapoints slightly, the multiplayer mode shines forth like the North Star. Almost unlimited customisation and game modes (almost as much as there were in Perfect Dark), the multiplayer's an absolute blast (literally). You won't want to stop.

Sadly, no matter what you may hear from people taken in momentaraly by the adrenaline rush of the game, its not Goldeneye, its nowhere near as good, and it never will be. Its good, oh yes, its good, but its just nowhere near as fun as what really is the greatest FPS ever - in five years, people will still be talking about Goldeneye, but not this.

Not to steal its victory though, Timesplitters 2 is a very worthwhile purchase, just not as ground-breaking as you may be led to believe. Strongly reccomended.

THE GOOD:
a hell of a lot of multiplayer modes including co-op, and a challenge mode to unlock charactors and weopons. tons of weopons play with and to unlock.Map editor feature

THE BAD:
Map Editor only lets you use 2 blocks of memory, so you can only make small levels

SUMMARY:
When my cousin came over for thanksgiving he had the game "Time Splitters" on his Gamecube, and ofcourse i wanted to try it out. Jeese, that game got me hooked on it for hours! We played for 2 hours straight, first with the co-op missions, then a 4-split screen multiplayer which is CRAZY! This game is fast paced AND realistic (like shooting the head and other body parts gives the opponent more damage) which makes it one of the best first-person shooter concole games i've ever played! And you can have like 12 other computer players play at once, (so all 4 players can be alied).

Another cool feature is the "Challenge Mode", in which you play to earn trophies so you can unlock charctors, maps, and even weopons! (the brick is awsome)There is this mode that you are a monkey and have to collect all of the banna's in a certain time, i haven't beaten it yet but it feels like a first-person view of Pac-Man! My favorite is the one that you have to survive as long as you can with your shotgun while hords of zombies come after you, that is the greatest.

**Best of all**
Has a "Map Editor", i thought that feature of the game would be extreamly bad, but i was wrong. You could customise your weopons, make up to 8 stories and you can even place turrets around the map!
The bad part is that you can only use 2 blocks of memory for each map you make and can only have 4 types of tiles.

CONCLUSION: THIS IS THE GREATEST FIRST-PERSON SHOOTER GAME OUT THERE FOR ANY SYSTEM. IF YOU WANT A LONG LASTING GAME, Timesplitters is the game for you...
