THE BAD:
Some part of the game is very confusing, and very hard. If you run away a lot it is a bad ranking for you (I know because it happened to me)
SUMMARY:
The game has a very good storyline which can be very good for RPG fans. The game is one of the best I played. I only rented it but I rent it very time its there. It has a control over me. The friends you get in the game is one of the best parts. Looking for the crew members is hard. Some parts of the game is extreme hard but you can be proud when you beat it. You get to fly around is a ship!! This is a true game that should have been more extened because the rginal is from sega. I don't own the game and I wish I did so I can beat it one last time.
THE BAD:
Clunky look to the characters
Takes a while to save
SUMMARY:
This always amuses me whenever I play. I enjoy seeing Vyse's antics and adventures, and I love the variety of crew members you can pick to pull along with you. And the plot is great too. ((Enrique's part is awesome! Go Enrique!)) I also love the special attacks you can get, and being able to fly a massive ship out of a huge fortress right before the doors close to lock you in. Amusing and heart-pounding all in one, the good overpowers the bad by a LOT. A good play, I recommend anyone who's a fan of RPGs, pirates, or who just love to swing a weapon around and kick the crap out of people and monsters, to get this game.
THE BAD:
It gets a little bit boring towards the end.
SUMMARY:
This game is really good, it's not just your average RPG it actually has a good storyline to it. The battles are Final Fantasy style with a range of characters and different techniques you can use. The gameplay is really good and it is quite along game although i don't think i could play through it a second time. The sound and SFX or ok and the music doesn't really get repetetive although the enemys do, they randomly pop-up a little too often. I didn't find many glitches and the ones i did see were only minor and didn't effect the gameplay atall.
Overall i would give the game about 87% because they have quite a bit to improve on.
SUMMARY:
Skies of Arcadia Legends is an awesome, already well-known RPG. It debuted on Dreamcast, then made it's way to the Gamecube, with improved qualities, more gameplay, secrets, and lots more; thus it became Skies of Arcadia *Legends*, for the Nintendo Gamecube.
I never heard much about Skies, and I thought it was one of those poor RPGs, that was ironicly ported, and often found in the bargain bin for less than 10 bucks. Psh, yeah right. Skies of Arc' costed me 50 bucks (US), and I'd say it was well worth it. It's about time Gamecube got a good, solid RPG. And Legends is ONLY for the 'Cube.
You play as Vyse, along with the ditzy Aika, and the mysterious Fina (you meet more party members along the way). Your adventures take place in the sky, Arcadia - a land filled with floating islands. You pilot many airships, and explore different islands, finding treasures and such....
THE BAD:
The bad would be that I didn't like the main character much, even if alot of the other characters were cool, but he made the game more fun since we made fun of him alot. Also the plot seems a bit stereotypical, but not TOO much
SUMMARY:
In all it's not a bad game at all, one of the GC's finest I'd say. If you like RPG's, and don't mind a lame main character, this is a great game for gamers of all types to enjoy.
THE BAD:
there is none
SUMMARY:
this game is #3 of my top ten favorite video games I haven't played it in a while so I forgot all the character's names though but it is really really really fun I think people who love role playing games also called r.p.g.'s for those who do not know that will love this game but there is one part I could not get past and that is the boss you fight in those catacombs of whatch ya ma call it city, i only call it that because as I said I basiclly forgot the name of everything but i still love it I saw it for dreamcast as well but i do not have dreamcast so I had to wait for it to come out for gamecube eventhough I didn't know it was going to be remade until awhile ago when I rented it but I highly suggest it for other rpg lovers.
THE BAD:
Outdated graphics
Underused magic system
SUMMARY:
Skies of Arcadia Legends is a port of the RPG Skies of Arcadia Dreamcast game, with a few changes and additions to avoid it appearing as a total re-release. Can this old game still stand tall with current standards?
Graphics
For a Gamecube game these visuals look rather average at best. The visuals clearly wasn't on the to-do list when porting this game over, so no attempt was made to bring the graphics up to the level of the competition. If you're looking for an super realistic sky world then look elsewhere.
That said, the graphics aren't terribly bad. The fact that an old game can still look OK is perhaps a testament to the power behind the Dreamcast and the effort put into the presentation of the original. The clouds look nice (rather important since you tend to see a lot of them). Decent lighting effects around, especially when sp...
THE BAD:
Graphics weren't updated much from the dreamcast, and the sound quality took a small knock in the transition as well.
SUMMARY:
Pushing the superb Zelda: The Wind Waker aside for the moment, I can safely say that the Gamecube wouldn't be the console of choice for a hardcore RPG fan. It had few RPG's under its belt, and what was there was sub-par (Lost Kingdoms, anyone?), in fact, without Zelda, and RPG fan would've been completely disgusted by the Gamecube's line-up.
Then someone came along and thought that they'd port a three year-old Dreamcast game onto the 'cubed console. The world groans. I wanted something new, something fresh, I didn't want this. Flying boats? What? The game was released, reviews ca...
THE BAD:
it is too short
SUMMARY:
this game is a must have for all rpg players the battle system is unique i myself havent played the dreamcast version because i couldent find it ,it was that rare but when i saw it there with the holy ray of light surrounding it i instantly bought it it was that good of a game i didnt leave my room for 48 hours (in a row)i was entranced i thought the battles were good the airship battles were even better every time somthing some one got hurt(not in battle)i would mourn their death or what ever had happened to them and the super moves ohhhhhhhh sheer perfection the only thing to make it better would be some fmv's and make the game longer then skies of arcadia legends would even beat final fantasy 7 (and believe me that game is brillient)
THE BAD:
SUMMARY:
There are many endearing traits which makes Skies of Arcadia Legends (hereafter refered to as 'Skies') a complete joy to play. The story line in Skies is certainly one which stands out among previous RPG's. It is completely original, as is the world in which the game takes place. Aracadia, a world full of small floating islands to vast, dominating continents is full of interesting places to visit. The inhabitants in Arcadia are so varied that in every island there is usually a distinct cultural difference. T...
