THE BAD:
This one doesn't make that much sense, either. The voices are bad.
SUMMARY:
This one is worse than the first, like I already said. There may be more monsters, but the only good one is basically Valkyrie and that lance robot. The areas you go through are weird. I really liked the creepy Isamat Urbur place, and that creepy castle place that was destroyed in the last game. That place was awesome and basically the only place where you actually have to think. The cut scenes with the little girl were really weird. The voices weren't very good, and that weird guy that's all evil that you fight seems kind of gay. I didn't like the robots in this. The secret-ish areas weren't as cool, either. I didn't like the transforming stuff. It reminded me of Pokemon for some reason. You can actually see the enemies, though, and because of this, you don't have to be afraid of the blue fairies. The guy...
THE BAD:
Too easy to waste cards
SUMMARY:
Imagine Pokemon with a voluptuous sorceress instead of a spunky kid and horrific monsters replacing the cutesy furballs, and you'd have Lost Kingdoms II. Light on story (even for a 10-hour game), LK2 instead emphasizes card collecting and tactical monster battles--which would be cool, if only those elements were robust enough to make the experience worthwhile.
Amassing cards is relatively simple, but the game inexplicably encourages you to assemble them into themed decks--even though the enemy assortment in most areas demands a deck more like a Swiss Army Knife than a lightsaber. (You can test your decks in the vanilla Versus mode) The combat is so-so; it's tense and action packed, but unforgiving summoning and attack systems drain most of the fun. Your magic points run out far too quickly, and unreliable hit detection wastes your precious cards. Despite a promising concept, LK2's flawed gameplay fails to entertain.
THE BAD:
LK2 is still short for an RPG. I would like for it to have at least 30 hours of gameplay minimum, just to finish the main quest, and maybe 20 extra hours to collect everything. Nothing other than that.
SUMMARY:
From Software really improved on LK1. It seems as if they heard what I was screaming at my television when playing the first game ![]()
LK2's graphics are now nearly seamless, using the GCN's graphics to the best i've ever seen in a 3rd person view game. Now instead of all the polygonal shapes of the monsters, and characters, they're all smoother, more life-like. Gameplay has also vastly improved, the player being able to shuffle through his/her deck, instead of having to drop cards to find ones he/she wanted, like in the first game. Trans...
THE BAD:
the only thing is the fact that you actually need to have purchased the first in order to get the best out of it! although even if you haven't you'll enjoy it!
SUMMARY:
if you like rpg, it's the coolest one you'll find! It is a sort of pokemon but for teenagers! pure strategy is needed! choose over 200 cards + 40 combos combining the cards!hey this not only feature cards ranging from fearsome mytical mosters to fearsome skeletons, but also potrays a good story with two endings! you choose the good or the sad one!!! cool! it involves gods and medieval style, making up for an incredible plot! jugability is ++! the best ever! you end up thinking about beating the game twice! not for being short but for being almost addictive!
