THE GOOD: This game has amazing 3D effects for attacks and the Pokemon look cool. I like how the storyline is different in Colosseum and XD than in most other Pokemon RPG games. There are also play options so if you don't feel like playing Story Mode, you can do Battle Mode and just do random battling.
The option to trade Pokemon from your GBA to Colosseum and back blows me away. Now you can import your Pokemon from Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed or LeafGreen to battle with in Story Mode OR Battle Mode!
THE BAD: The only bad things about Colosseum to me is the amount of Pokemon available to you in Story Mode and the Purification process. Most of these problems are solved by reading manuals or plain intelligence, however there are a few items of note.
First, you can catch Raikou, Suicune and Entei as the only Legendaries in-game (with Ho-Oh as the exception). The only other way to obtain the other Legends is by trading from your...
THE GOOD: Don't need the handheld games to build a custom team 2on2 battles are the focus
THE BAD: Catching Shadow Pokémon is far more irritating than catching regular Pokémon Poor Presentation Limited Pokémon available Boring environments
SUMMARY: Nobody can deny just how important the Pokémon series has been to Nintendo. They started life on the humble Gameboy and helped secure their foothold in the handheld market. So it's no surprise that the idea of a 3D game in the same vein is enough to send fans crazy. The N64 Stadium games didn't deliver this, but Collosseum hopes to rectify that with an actual 3D Pokémon RPG. Why then, does the game flop so terribly?
Visuals
The signs are already showing merely by looking at the game. The character models aren't particularly bad, especially if you consider how many there has to be, but at the same time they did to be a little bland too....
THE BAD: -Graphics -No Mini Games -No rental Pokémon or 2P challenge without a GBA link -No difficulty -3 Boxes -Pokémon you can catch are very limited
SUMMARY: As Nintendo's first venture for a 3D story mode, Colosseum was decent. The storyline however was dull and left players wanting more. You begin with Umbreon and Espeon, and battle low level, unevolved Pokémon for the entire first half of the game. The Shadow Pokémon take a ridiculous amount of time to purify. This had nothing that the game series had. No gym leaders, no mini-games, no casino, no breeding. HMs had no point in this game either. The characters you're forced to move around with are hideous. A lot of Pokémon (Zangoose, Salamence, Anorinth, Shiftry, and several more) look disturbingly disfigured. Stadium 2 had better graphics in my opinion. With 3 boxes, it makes trading annoying and difficult. Also,...
It took some time (too much time, really), but the Gamecube got a 3D Pokemon adventure. The pity was, that it was underhyped and really underdeveloped in the adventure department, as it was attempted to balance the adventure-mode and the separate Colosseum-mode, which was essentially the same as the Pokemon Stadiums from the N64 days. A mistake, as the Pokemon Stadium games, though entertaining and good-looking, never were what most Pokemon fans really wanted. If only the sole focus had been placed on the adventure-mode, making it as long and engrossing as the GB adventures, this really could have been one of the best Gamecube games ever. As it stands, however, we still have a very good game at our hands.
Visually it doesn’t have the wow-factor Pokemon Stadium enjoyed when it came out, and the battle sequence visuals don’t seem to have come such a long way since the Stadium games. It’s pleasing, relatively pretty and some of the attacks are looking quite...
THE GOOD: The Good Is Well Its A Pokemon Game For Anything but the GBC, GBA or N64.It is a good graphic game (Well OK they could be a bit better, but!!!)
THE BAD: Its Not long enough ill tell u that 4 free. Loads of n00bs to the pokemon series complete it within a few days. There is no speech wotsoever it is all words just like the game boy which is a big let down.
SUMMARY: Its a Pokemon game, straight and true, it has a good value thanks to the connectivity between it and the Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire games. It also gives u a chance to trade some pokemon to Ruby and Sapphire that u cant get on it like Entei,Suicune and Raikou.I Need to rant about the shape of the people however they are huge, lanky and skinny. Somehow they remind me of Gorillas maybe chimps. It is a decent pokemon game if u have a Gamecube i would say get it but if u have Pokemon Stadium 1 or 2 then dont not much changes.
THE GOOD: flawless pokemon game,Great pokemon,Finishes pokedex,Great Pokemon
THE BAD: flawless pokemon game, missing pokemon
SUMMARY: I love this game enough to kill you 5 times and kill your corpse 99 times to get or even play this game. That is how much I love playing this game. It's graphic are perfect and it's story line is the best I've ever played. This game is so good after you played this you will offer your legs to the store for this game.I'm not kidding and if you don't even think this game is great then you are not a pokefan. If you think game is not great then you disgust me!Ilove this game and I'm not kidding about any thing I said.I said you DISGUST me if you don't like this game. I don't like writing like that but this is the best game for pokemon. This plus Fire Red and Leaf Green makes a best game and completes your pokedex.
There are MANY good facts about this game, but I am just listing SOME.
THE BAD: The bad is:
you have to read there talking than hereing it
The game does not last long.
There is nothing to do when the game is over except train your pokemon and some more extras
If you want to play a friend, one of you have to have a gameboy,2 gamecube controllers wont work.
SUMMARY: This game is a good pokeomon game, just that if you want to play a friend they or you have to have a gameboy. If you like pokemon, then you should get this game,it is a must buy game for all people who like pokemon.
THE GOOD: The fact players can upload there pokemon from pokemon ruby/sapphire and fire red/leaf green. and you can transfer your pokemon from Pokémon Colosseum to the gba games.
THE BAD: You must compleat the game in order to trade to the gba games. besides that there is no bad side
SUMMARY: I really like this game. This has been the only pokemon game were players catch and train pokemon in 3d. Theres new kinds of pokemon called shadow pokemon. the point of the game is to get all the shadow pokemon and purifie them . I really suggest you to get this game if your a pokemon fan. .For the price i think its worth it this game will want you to play endless amounts of time. a cool feature in the game is you can catch pokemon like suicune, entai, raikou that you couldent catch in ruby/sapphire
SUMMARY: The Graphics: Serious ranges in quality here. The humanoid characters are quite awful to look at, they're spiky and unreallistic, and they don't even have art on their side- they are ugly. The landscapes are little better, opting for some gritty style that feels quite out of place in a Pokémon game. But in the battles things change quite dramatically. Most of the pokémon are beautifully animated, and although a few look a bit too highly-polished and shiny than reallistic, it can be overlooked as most look brilliant in 3D. The lighting too takes a step up, with some excellent shadow and torchlight effects. These are especially present in some of the game's Colosseums.
The Sound: Absolutely rubbish. There is not one single bass sound in the entire game, even in the events of things like large explosions or powerful attacks. Most of the pokémon...
You can get some cool Pokémon like Bayleaf, Croconaw, Quilava, Entei, Suicune and Raikou.
The story line is pretty solid.
THE BAD:
You can't get any wild Pokémon
It's a short- and easy game
You will only have difficult battles at the end
The graphics don't show GameCube's high potential
A lot of trainers own the same Pokémon, so you will get fed up of them quickly
SUMMARY: This is a solid and nice RPG for Pokémon fans. Though it is a short an easy game (there are only a few difficult battles at the end of the game), this game appeals to younger players, who like Pokémon or are getting introduced to the series. You will have to snag Pokémon if you want to get your own team; after that you will have to purify them all. The story line is ok (could have been more original, because there are a lot of...
