THE GOOD: What can i say. Ill start playing it non-stop, 24 hours a day, then ill quit for about a week. Then ill start up again. This game has no cheats, which i am relativly grateful for, or else by now i probably would have broken down and used them. This is not 1 of the games that you play for 2 days and beat it. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE. I have over 300 hours on my main profile, and i am only level 114. This is the longest game i have ever seen, and it is very addicting. There are 12 different options for who you want to be, and many customization options for each one of those. The scenery in Episode 2 is great, especially compared to Episode 1.
THE BAD: Dark Falz on Ultimate is way too hard. ALL of the other bosses are too easy. Androids cant use techniques, although it does make sense. The game can be very repetative at times, AND YOU CANT PAUSE THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THE GOOD: EVERYTHING about this game is good! The online play and offline play is AWESOME. Doing challanges and quests are amazingly fun! 12 chars to choose from and customize them to the way you want them to look. There are a TON of items to chose from and use.
There are a ton of magic spells to use. All of the charecters are unique in their own ways. The game has 4 difficulty levels. There are many many many monsters in the game too. The more to kill with! HUZZAH! This game also has some killer graphics! This game takes a lot of time and patience but it is WELL worth it in the end. There are so many rare items it makes you wanna screem like a school girl
I could go all day singing the praises of Phantasy Star Online Episodes I & II, but I'm sure you've heard more accolades than I could ever give. Therefore, I'll simply make the case why you should get this masterpiece (or if you don't have a GameCube, why you should get one, an online adapter, and this masterpiece).
Graphics: 10! Those of us who had a Dreamcast knew all along the visual beauty of PSO. Even I was shocked to see the improvements made on the Cube--especially the scenery in Episode II.
Control: 9. From the first time I picked up the control pad, I almost forgot I was playing a Gamecube. For such a weird-looking controller, PSO makes it feel like the Dreamcast. The camera, however, still leaves something to be desired (I guess this will never be perfected in any 3-D game). A tighter lock-on feature could have been introduced, but doesn't take away from the game's fun.
Gameplay: 10! Never has a game with such repetitiveness been so fun. There is a...
THE GOOD: This game gives you the chance to totally customize your character. You can choose the weapon, armor, units mag, hair, clothes, size, and name! Totally Customizable. Alot of gameplay. Downloadable quests and 4 modes.
THE BAD: Very Repetitive in monster appearance. Rare Drop Rates are too high. Bosses are WAY too easy(Untill Ultimate) Then they are too hard. Hunters Need For Range. Should have more costumes.
SUMMARY: For example on high Drop rates, Psyco Wand? 64,000 Drop rate, omg. As for customization, i had fun. I like to use my 30+ Stag Cutlery, or my 14+ God Hand. My hunter has fun ripping through enemies, doing aton of damage. I've done alot of quests and am now working on Downloadable ones. They have interesting music. This game would be better if, there was a custom costume style, or a custome eye/hair. Overall this game is another Hack and Slash Game with FPS qualities. But it is extremely Addictive.
THE GOOD: Addictive game no huge plot to follow replay value.
THE BAD: Graphics could have improved.
SUMMARY: This game is alittle hard to find and purchase but its worth it.With a huge variety of weapons and special weapons this game will keep you looking for them for ALONG time. What makes this game a fun game? The unique charactors you can choose from and the huge worlds with so many species. This game originated from Dreamcast but this time featuring a whole new adventure episode two. This game has some magic moves also. But if you didnt notice the title has the word ONLINE this is the meat of the rpg.Online you can team up go on adventures with your friends or just hang and chat. But for the offline its still a fun experience along with a multiplayer co-op,and your any where as good as you think you are team up with your friends and try the chalenge mode morew team effert. But like sonic adventure games they have little creatures to feed...
THE GOOD: The wide selection of weapons, the extreme levels you can explore and the new characters added into the game on top of all the characters from Phantasy Star Online VErsion 2 for the Dreamcast. The story is brilliant (trying to find Red Ring Rico) and the bosses are sio fun to kill. Training and leveling up gives you a great thrill of the game and having a mag following you around on your adventures is really great!
THE BAD: Sometimes there may be hackers online that might ruin your character, so it is best to have a back-up file on another memory card. But if you do a back-up - it won't matter at all! There are less hackers on this Phantasy Star Online than the Dreamcast one because for this one you have to pay a £5 fee for a hunters licence to go online, so most people will pay to have a good and respectful time!
SUMMARY:
Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II are two brilliant worlds put into one disc. You are a ranger (which...
THE GOOD: Every thing about the game is good, the music, the wepons, and the quest.
THE BAD: not realy anyhting bad about it,except for the exsevive hacking online and the game engine could use a little tweaking.#_*
SUMMARY: The game PSO was first brought to light on the sega dreamcast,it was the first game with online playing for a game machine.then a few yearslater they carried it over to the Nintendo game cube.with the new technology and more things, they made the game better than it was.it's still online and it has offine playing, wich is great for those people that can't have online or can't afford the PSO guild fee.wich is I think some where in the neiborhood of 12dollors,so yes it's kinda pricy but it's worth it.unless you can't deal with the hacking then you should get some freinds and play offline, cause now there are so many hackers.and the game got kinda ruined.but if you and one of your frineds got it online then it would ok.
the game...
THE BAD: Not much is bad about this game. i really like every aspect of the game.
SUMMARY: this game is the funnest online game ive ever played. i really like the concept of the game, and the gameplay. I love rpg's, so this title fit right in to my collection. the whole theme of the game is nice. i really like it. I love playing onling and the game is very fun. ummmm...... thats about it. but overall, i rated this game a 5 out of 5. its really the best online game ive ever played. This game, when played online is really based on the other players that are playing with you. Offline, it is based on patience, and also the ability to adapt to the enviorment around you. you must change depending on surroundings and the enemies. Ive been playing this title since it was on dreamcast, and i must say, the Game Cube version is a much needed improvement. Its not as easy as the other one, so it takes more skills.
THE GOOD: The magical and unique experience of teamwork. A varied playing experience, each of the character types offers something new to the game which means near-infinite game length. The only online game on the Gamecube so far.
THE BAD: Dupers and hackers mesing up servers and causing players to lose characters and items. Can be percieved as shallow if played in he wrong way. People being immature online.
SUMMARY: As the only online game of the Nintendo Gamecube this is a very good purchase for anyone wanting more human contact in their game. But this also begs the question should I buy this game if I am only going to play offline?
The offline aspect of Phantasy Star Online is very tricky to deal with due to the fact that as soon as you play online it fades in comparison. The offline mode is in actual fact just as big as online and probably even more so. Theres still the teamwork aspect in multiplayer mode...
THE GOOD: Creating your own characters, the beautiful graphics, the cool sound, the difficultie levels, many enemies to battle........ EVERYTHING! ^^
THE BAD: Too many unlegit people online (dupers and hackers) Getting online is VERY expensive, though the best special weapons can only be found online. Thanks, Sonic Team... ¬¬
SUMMARY: PSO is one of the best RPGs I've ever played. When I created the first time a character I was impressed how many things you could do: create a face, hair, costumes etc.... Then I began playing. The first time I warped to the forest I was really impressed about the beautiful graphics and the good sound. PSO is also a game which will rest a lot of time in your GC; players usually play this game for more than 2 months! The different difficulties (normal, hard, v. hard and ultimate) are also great, and it keeps the game alive. The new Episode II is also great and you shoult try it. Buy PSO and you won't regret...
