Metal Arms: Glitch in the System is a game about a little robot named "Glitch". And he has an unnatural obsession with Guns... In this game you...SHOOT EVERYTHING! Yes...this is one of those games where EVERYTHING explodes! The game has some very dark, gritty graphics. The gamecube version has great graphics but occasional slowdown. Glitch was found dead in a scrap heap and re-activated and fixed up by the foul-mouthed Krunk. Once reactivated he joins a group of Droids called "The resistance". They're rebels rebeling against the Mils which is another race of bots taking over their world under the rule of general corrosive. An experiment gone haywire by Dr. Exobolt. In the game the shining point isn't the story... It's the gameplay. The gameplay consists of overly destructive shooting. It's mad! BUT, theres a method to the madness. You have to plan who, where, what and with what weapon you're going to attack or you might die... Which happens MULTIPLE times in the game since the came is so frikkin hard. You're often alone facing ENTIRE mil armies. Which is very fun! The enemy A.I is impressive. It responds to whatever you do. If you make too much noise they alert each other. If you throw a grenade at them they'll jump out of the way and look for cover. And they attack in groups of MANY. There are also Giant bots called "Titans" which are specifically tough and hard to kill. Sometimes 2 or 3 of them can come at you at once. A bad thing is that the weapons are common run-of-the-mill weapons seen in every shooter. You've got a machine gun, a shot gun, a rocket launcher, a flame thrower, a sniper, and a saw blade launcher. But you also have a control tether (aquired later in the game) which lets you take control of enemy robots. It's very useful when you catch a titan off guard, the n control it and unleash your fury on the others. That feature can also be used in multiplayer mode. The multiplayer mode is fun and uses a lot of the same features that the single player mode uses. It also has vehicles such as a tank, a R.A.T. (Rapid Armored transport) and a hovering thingy with a claw. The controls are a bit loose but you can adjust them in the menu. The game is tough and sometimes you'll be left running in circles wondering "WHERE THE HECK DO I HAVE TO GO NOW?" only to find that the door you passed 10000 times, is the exit. The game has a somewhat cute look but it's balanced out with exesive robot violence and some swearing. But mild swearing. The only one who swears is Krunk who is constantly using the F word. But it's bleeped out. And yes...that's actual dialogue from the actual game. I recomend this game if you like shooters, robots, or if you like dificult games. There are also some collectibles (Secret chips) and a whole mess of multiplayer levels. But... It is a bit on the tacky side... well.. its VERY tacky... 8 out of 10
