Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat

"Donkey Kong Jungle Beat is not perfect. It's relatively short, especially if you don't have the skill or patience to collect all of the medals. There's no multiplayer mode. And I'm still not convinced that the DK Bongos are a more intuitive alternative to the standard GameCube controller. But you know what? This is a great game through and through anyway. The title is surrounded by polish, from the slick menus to the gorgeous in-game models and beautiful, varied, and sometimes-downright psychedelic level designs. But more, it's immensely enjoyable to play, which is what ultimately counts more than all the rest."

"This shows that Nintendo intended the game to be easy to “pick up and play” for gamers of all ages. While Donkey Konga may not be of interest to many gamers, Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat puts that peripheral to great use and we could see more games in a similar style in the future."
