Background

Mario's portly rival Wario is back yet again in his third handheld adventure. Wario gets trapped inside a music box, and in order to free himself he must help a mysterious being gather hidden music boxes scattered throughout this strange new world. As in the second game, the key to solving the mysteries here is to make use of the various status ailments that Wario can be afflicted with (the 25 stages are designed so that he cannot die like in regular platform games).
