THE GOOD: - Good sidescroller - Great 8 Bit GameBoy music, especially with headphones - Good controls - Clear graphics
THE BAD: - Enemies come back when you come back to a place - Hard to dodge bullets - Hard mode is suicidal
SUMMARY: Duke Nukem for the GameBoy Color. And this will not play on any black and white GameBoy, which could be a letdown.
If you're prepared to put up with some (excuse my unprofessional language) cr*p to play not such a bad sidescroller, this game can be some good. The game really is a case of you get given your favourite food, and half of it is mouldy and stale.
The controls are very good for the game, as the GameBoy Color only has a simple NES-like control system. The D-Pad moves Duke Nukem, the A button jumps, and the B button fires a weapon. So the controls are an upside to this slightly disastrous game.
Unfortunately, the music in the game is probably the best bit from the game. It's seriously awesome. Listen to it with some overhead headphones (if you like 8 ...
