THE GOOD: Good sound Amazing graphics
THE BAD: Can get way too difficult SUMMARY: Rayman is a rather good game but includes LOTS of frustarating levels, almost none of them are easy. Those who really want a hard game should pick up a copy of Rayman Advance or the PSX version.
Rayman's world used to be a peaceful place, that is until Mr.Dark captured this magic ball which keeps the land balanced. Then he decided to capture all the protoons and locked them up in cages. Mr.Dark also had his henchmen all over to make sure nobody could stop him! It's up to Rayman, the hero with no arms or legs just hands and feet, to stop Mr.Dark from ruling the area. (Please note that I don't remember some of the storyline too well)
In this difficult sidescroller, you'll play Rayman who is some sort kid who has just hands, feet, and a body and head. You'll go through each level and try to make it to the end sign. On your way, you'll meet a group of vicious enemies like evil protoons and some bosses. Rayman will also get special abilities from Betilla the fairy. This game is very tough and yet the bosses are as tough as the stages at times. Oh and guess what, after you beat the scorpian boss and advance to the final world, you can't unless you have every single protoon in the game. Isn't that unfair! The game's hard enough without rescuing the protoons. This game will take a very long time to beat and you may have to cheat just to win!
Now the graphics of this game are, WOW! The graphics look even better than some GBA games out there! Sometimes I turn on the game just to see the amazing colorful graphics! Rayman and the rest have superb graphics. The backgrounds themselves also look amazing. It must of have taken some good computer artists to make the amazing graphics of this game!
There are many sounds in this game, such as "ting" which sounds nice. I don't usually have much to say about sound and music, but they are good!
Rayman is an excellent buy for anyone looking for a big challenge. Some people who don't like challenging games may get really frustarated so it really depends on how you like the difficulty to be in games! |

THE GOOD: It's very challenging. It can be fun...when the area's aren't too hard. The music's okay. The graphics are okay, too.THE BAD: This game is way too hard and very odd. I gave up playing it after a while, since it got so boring having to continue the same area over and over again until you die from boredom. SUMMARY: I like Rayman games, but I didn't really like this one. It's just too hard. I've had it for a couple of years and haven't gotten very far. The graphics and music is okay, but that doesn't make up for the boring gameplay. At least it was fun at the beginning, and it lasts for a very long time. I guess it gives you something to do during ten hours of sitting on a plane one summer, flying to some boring place for vacaction when you could be home playing a GameCube or Playstation 2, but I think I'd rather just sit there, rather than play this. It's very odd, too. More than most Rayman games. The worst thing abouth this game is, though, that I bought a Gameboy Advance just for this. I guess I like Rayman too much. |

Awesome graphics, not-so-awesome gameplay. | 3.5 0 comments |

THE GOOD: Looks amazing Nice variation Many levels Good controlTHE BAD: Highly frustrating at times Level-design is not that good Terrible Rayman-voice SUMMARY: Graphics: Some of the best graphics on the console, brilliant looking characters and enemies, awesome areas and itm is incredibly detailed and colorful. Awesome!!!
Sound: The music is pretty good, not great, but it does its job. Rayman's "Yeah" shout on the other hand sounds like it would in a GBC game, which means awful.
Gameplay: The control is good, the levels are varied and it is quite challenging. The level-design however, while not bad certainly not on par with the Mario games, and there are some frustrating jumping parts in here as well, which are not fun at all.
Lifespan: Great number of levels and lots of secrets to get, okay replay-value, but not the kind of game you will play a year from now.
Overall: Looks awesome, but isn't on par with the Mario games gameplay-wise. Still, it is worth buying if you love 2D-platformers. |

THE GOOD: Rayman, you see him all the time, magazines, t.v, and in games, this is a game that i never play. it is hard and long, it gets very boring because you lose half the time. dont get it, the graphics are pretty good, and rayman does a good job. but it still will bore you so much that you may do good in school. get advance wars insteadTHE BAD: everything except graphics and rayman, hes cool, but everything else sucks. well it doesnt suck, but its boring so dont get it. SUMMARY: THIS GAME IS KOOL THE 1ST TIME YOU GET IT, NOT ENOUGH SAVE POINTS, YOU COULD EASILY LOSE WHAT YOU DID, DONT GET THIS GAME. IF YOU DO, YOU WILL BE SORRY, BUT GO AHEAD AND GET IT AND DONT LISTEN TO ME, BUT YOU SHOULD LISTEN TO ME! |

THE GOOD: The graphics on this game kicks ass. The game is nicely done and is fun to play.THE BAD: none SUMMARY: Rayman Advance is one hell of a game. It is challenging game to play. Don't get me wrong, there are some levels in the game that are easy. Overall, the game is fun to play and is basicly for anyone who likes adventure games. I give this game 4.7/5. The graphics are beautiful and the replay value of this game is good. If anyone who doesn't have this game and wondering if they want to buy it? I say give it a go and buy the game. |

THE GOOD: Amazing graphics. A crapload of levels. Cheats. Easy controls. Fun.THE BAD: Hard. Repetitive if you can't beat a level. SUMMARY: Like any side scroller you jump around and defeat bosses. The thing that differentiates Rayman from the rest is the superb graphics, the controls, and his special powers.
To earn your powers you must defeat bosses/levels. And with each new power you gain access to parts of a level you previously didn't have before. Therefore to win the game, you have to aquire all your powers. And then, replay all the levels until you free those little cutie purple beings in the cages, which are located in parts of the level that require a special power to access. It's not until then that you win the game.
That means it's not 60 levels of fun. It's 60 levels plus 60x where x is the amounts of time you play that level again with extra powers to win. So much play time it seem impossible to win. Good thing they're cheats to unlock all of them if you don't have the patience.
This is also a great title to show off the powers of the GBA, the graphics... they still blow my mind. If you are an experienced side scroller fanatic, get this game. It holds a challenge even I cannot complete.
Remember, this is a very hard game. Patience required unless thou hast mad skillz.

THE GOOD: Great first release for the gameboy advance, graphics are king! gameplay good too.THE BAD: I only found one thing bad about this game and that is finding the electoon cages. SUMMARY: Before buying a game I look at the price graphics and most important gameplay. For this game I had already played the playstation version and most of my mates said it was the same so I went to comet and got it brilliant i thought got into the game about 2 months later i done every level and wondered why it would go the next stage then while i was looking for a walkthrough a big came up and said before you can pass on to levels of Mr Dark all Electoon cages have to be found so i though ok then but trying to find them was like mission impossible i found 3 cage while playing the game for 1 hour. |

Rayman Advanced deservs to burn | 3.5 0 comments |

THE GOOD: Lets see, the good things about this game is that its graphics are amazing! Its a lengthy game and full of secret bonuses. this game would SURELY keep you occupied for a long time...that is if you don't go insane by then...THE BAD: This game is simply TOO hard. It takes less than one wrong move to die, and you can only save your progress in certain "save spots"...meaning you can't save in the middle of a game, or right before you're going to try and take down a boss. If you wanna save the game, you gotta exit the level entirely and go to the save spot thing. Then when you go back to the level you were trying to beat, you start from the very beginning. And THAT is very very evil, considering the game is hard as hell. SUMMARY: Eh, if you people are tired of those stupid pathetic games that you can beat in a few days, than Rayman Advance is surely for you! Beside it from being difficult, its got over 60 levels! And every one of those levels has at least 3 seperate areas. Some have more than 5 seperate areas.
This game is really very creatively made, the evil mosnters things you gotta defeat are weird and the bosses are even weirder(and most of the bosses are 4 times your size) Lets see, some bosses I know of are...
The first boss is a purple mosquito. He's not that hard. But he is very fast and get this, the first boss is on level 2!!! These people give you no mercy...
Another one is a big saxophone that shoots spiky music notes at you. The music notes bounce near your way and touching them makes you lose hit points, but they're easy to dodge.
Another one is a HUGE scorpion and it stings you with its tail and grabs you with its claws. Basic Scorpion stuff...
Well, if you're deciding to get Rayman Advance, make sure you have ALOT of patience!!!
