THE GOOD: Polished sprites, graphics, sounds, and music. Gameplay elements added from the later installments to this original remake.
THE BAD: Advanced?.. Yes. Innovative?... No
SUMMARY: The long anticipated Double Dragon Advance. Fans have been restless in the arrival of the revamped classic. That's just what they got and this is where our problem occurs.
This game is not a sequel to the Double Dragon series but the original block-buster arcade port that has been polished up a bit. The gameplay will be all to familiar to the DD fans out there with not innovative finess. All the moves our heroes, Billy and Jimmy Lee, have already learned in the past installments.
Don't expect this to be as groundbreaking as Double Dragon II: The Revenge.
Don't get me wrong, this game has it's moments. When fighting 6 goons at once, you won't be a frame behind. The pace keeps up with no slowdown whatsoever.
