THE GOOD:
1. Finally Peach is the Star!
2. Good Graphics
3. Lots of worlds! Never gets boring.
4. Awesome fighting techniques.

THE BAD:
1. Touch Screen needs more uses.
2. Toads are some-what too hard to find.
3. Monsters aren't hard enough to battle against!

SUMMARY:
This is the first ever game where Peach is in charge. No longer is Mario the hero in this game but it shall be Peach who saves the day for everyone. When I first saw Super Princess Peach in stores I was not only surprised but confused. Peach? An actually game where she runs the show? I wanted my questions answered so I went ahead and bought this game, and it turned out being surprisingly good.

The story starts out with Bowser finding out about a magical new island by the name of Vibe Island. He learns of its great powers and creates a scepter to finally capture his longtime fellow rival, Mario. Bowser not only succeeds with his plans but he manages to capture Luigi and a Toad! While all of this chaos is going on Peach returns to the castle to find fellow Toads screaming about and running around the whole place. Finally the news is broken to her that Mario and Luigi have been captured! She decides that finally for once in her life its her time to save Mario maybe to repay him for all that he's done for her. But she won't be going alone, along with Peach is a talking and rather useful umbrella by the name of Perry, who informs her that they must both travel to Vibe Island where there true adventure starts. Not only was the game so far going good, the new umbrella thing that would be joining Peach on her adventure made it even better. It not only helped Peach but it made the game play much better because even though while fighting off monsters was hard the umbrella helped a lot with keeping the game less complicated and real. I also loved that Peach could smack things with her umbrella, it made me see a different side to this usually innocent but popular character of the Mario games, she could truly fight!

Peach will have to under go many different situations while traveling on her quest through a total of eight worlds, such as; fighting goombas, swimming across rivers, climbing up blocks, traveling down tunnels, escaping from vicious piranha plants, and worst of all fighting off not only Bowser but his fellow minions.

The whole concept of worlds immediately made me start thinking of the other Mario games, I guess a game of the Mario series can't be totally different then them all. While moving on through the worlds, I loved that each one had different monsters but they also had different music. The game play continued to make me wanna keep playing and just get closer to the end, beating Bowser. The most appealing world of them all was probably the forest world, the music was just right in making the game more creepy, but the monsters also showed me that they truly belonged to the game and that world.

Each of these eight worlds have a main boss to them, these bosses have been created by Bowser and his scepter to hopefully stop any intruders that try and save Mario and Luigi. Peach will use her umbrella to fight off monsters that get in her way. But the umbrella isn't the only thing that can help her because Peach discovers she has new four vibe powers.

These four vibe power are activated through her moods such as:

-When she gets mad, her body will catch fire as she's stomping around in a horrible rage. This power is good for when Peach needs to burn through the ground to get below.

-If Peach becomes gloomy she will cry making her run very fast. This power is used when Peach needs to make it across bridges fast.

-When Peach is calm she will settle down and begin to restore her life meter. This power is good for when Peach is close to dieing and needs more life.

-If Peach becomes joyous she will begin spinning in the air forming a cyclone. This power is used when Peach needs to blow something apart that is ether on the ground or in the air.

The vibe powers made the game so much better and more unique and it felt like I was playing a totally new type of game genre. But I was eventually brought back to the real world because of this game's music, it was so close in similarity to the real games with Mario as the hero.

The four moods that have vibe powers are also known as; Rage, Gloom, Joy, and Calm. Not only will they merely help Peach fight off her foes these powers will also help her unlock secrets to puzzles, run across falling bridges, burn through the ground to get below, restore her own life, and to get her even closer to the final battle.

Even though Super Princess Peach is mainly made up by it's mood feature but it also has many other things that have helped to making the game more successful and fun. For example, it's music, it's rather similar to the type of music that's in the other Mario Series of games but it helps to keep you moving along fighting the monsters and rescuing toads. Personally to me, I think the music can be just a little better but for what they have it's really good. It made me more excited when moving to different worlds, each world had a some-what different type of music style to it that, just keep getting better as I moved on closer to beating the game.

THE GOOD:
-The visual is bright and colorful.

-The music is fun and enjoyable along with the sound.

-The extras and mini games are fun to unlock.

-The classic characters are back!

-New abilities like vibe powers you can use.

THE BAD:
-Whole game play is easy

-A majority part of the game, you only use the buttons and directional buttons. It would've been intended for GBA.

-Even though the graphics are colorful, it's not the same type of style that should be put in a DS game.

-Puzzles are too easy.

-The game is short.

- No power-ups or extra lives.

SUMMARY:
Super Princess Peach is about Bower who kidnaps Mario and Luigi. Now it's up to the Princess to save them. She has a sidekick who comes along with her, Perry the talking umbrella. You go through eight worlds and fight several enemies using the umbrella to attack enemies and also using an ability called vibe powers.

Vibe powers has to do with Peach's emotions. On vibe island every time you make an emotion, it will affect you and your enemies. There are four moods, Joy,Calm,Rage, and Gloom. Using these abilities will help solve puzzles and defeat enemies.

Gloom: Peach will cry, making her run fast and use her tears to grow plants that she can climb on to get to high places.

Joy: Peach gets happy which makes her spin up in the air into a cyclone letting her fly.

Calm: Peach calms down and starts to restore her life meter.

Rage: She will get angry and stomp around and catch fire. You will be able to burn ice and start torches. She will cause earthquakes with her stomping.

She has her own emotion bar which will decrease whenever you use an emotion. You can restore it by finding blue crystals around the stage.

The game also features a shop where you can buy abilities for the umbrella, extras, expand your heart and emotion meter, and also level up your mini games you unlock.

The visuals on this game is very bright and colorful but it's not the same graphics like the other DS games. It's obvious that this game is not intended for DS. The music is just like the previous Mario games so you will remember the same type of music and sounds. There's plenty of extras and mini games you can unlock and buy that you will enjoy and play again and again. This shows the game has some replay value.

You will enjoy seeing the same old characters back. Bowser,Luigi,Mario,Princess Peach and the Toads. You will also meet a new character named Perry who you will learn more about his background in the game. The new abilities like Vibe powers are fun to use and enjoy since it's way different then the regular Mario games.

Sadly there's no Power-ups or extra lives you can receive in the game. It was used throughout all of the Mario games but not in this one. The puzzles are way too easy along with the whole game play. You even receive hints on how to defeat the boss before you confront it! The controlling is simple but you rarely use the stylus. You'll use it for mini games and to click on the vibes but that's about it. The whole game is short since it's so easy but there is a lot of replay value because you'll need to backtrack a lot to collect Toads and extras.

This game is definitely not like the previous great Mario game but it's still worth to play if your a Mario fan. But if you don't like easy games then you should just rent it. It will be an enjoyable game the first time around, along with finding the extras, but you will eventually get bored of it. I give this game a 3 out of 5.

DS  Don't let the cover and pink theme fool you. It's not a girl's game. It's a lot like the old Mario games only easier. 4.5

THE GOOD:
Peach's own game!
Nice music
Cool graphics
Classic Mario gameplay with new technology.
You have lots of Toads to save.
You can purchase things.

THE BAD:
A couple bosses (such as Kamek) was annoying.
You can't use Daisy

SUMMARY:
I've actually been waiting for this game since I got a DS which was way back in August last year. Peach is my favorite Mario character so I couldn't wait for her own game but it's worth it. Infact this game was one of the reasons I bought a DS. The basic storyline is that Bowser and his friends traps Mario and Luigi as well as Toad. And thus you (Princess Peach) have to go through different levels to save them.

Gameplay:9- Now this is one of the easiest games I ever played so far but I'm not one of those people who criticize games for their difficulty unless a game is annoyingly hard. You can also use these things called vibes that represent 4 different moods and you can build up your meter to use them by "eating" an enemy or collecting blue crystals. In all levels (except boss levels) you can save 3 Toads but it's only optional. I must find a purpose for this. Overall the gameplay is kind of similar to the old Mario games.

Graphics:9- The graphics are great despite the "kiddier picture" while playing. Peach's face on the bottom screen is stunning and that's what brings the score up for graphics.

Sound:9- Wow Peach sure has a nice voice. The sound FXs are what you would pretty much expect from any Mario game. Some of the music is great like in the Volcano and Beach stages in particular.

Value:9- Well you have all the Toads to save And then you unlock some new levels after you beat Bowser. You can also purchase new moves and sound tracks from Toad's shop

Overall: Like I said before don't let the cover and everything fool you. This game is not just for girls. So if you're a guy and you're a Mario fan or Peach fan don't be shy and go out and buy this game.

Overall Rating: 9/10
