THE GOOD:
  • Good character design.
  • Easy too pick up and play.
  • Cases are long and hard.
  • Great case story's.
  • One of the best in the series.
  • Allot too do in every area of the game.
  • Controls are easy

    THE BAD:

  • Not much voice acting apart from 'OBJECTION!' and 'HOLD IT!'
  • Everything is in text form
  • Some evidence doesn't make sense.

    SUMMARY:
In this game you're basically a rookie lawyer. You're name is Phoenix Wright, you must make you're way too become an ace attorney. You must defend you're client until the very end. You must make sure they get that innocent verdict. You get evidence by getting it in court, investigating areas or simply talking too witnesses. You get it in court fairly slowly, by asking questions gets you evidence rarely but mainly by proving someone wrong they bring in evidence too turn it all around. Investigating for evidence is fairly easy, when you're outside of court you may see something that looks like evidence in a certain area you simply click it too add it to evidence. The easiest way is by presenting evidence when talking too people, if they make a reaction too it you always get another piece of evidence.

There are only five cases in this game they're quite hard and quite long when i started it i completed episode one in one day and thought id finish it in a week or so but it actually took me a few moths. I did the first few episodes in the first few weeks but taking on case 5 was longer than all of them combined! I only played it an hour a day and i did get quite far but case 5 was very hard and took me ages too complete.

This game is made almost all in text form. You do hear a few voices now and again but thats only when someone shouts 'OBJECTION!' or 'HOLD IT!'. This game really is like a book.

It doesnt take very long too get used too this game, the controls are easy and basically easy too get into.

The characters are drawn beautifully, its in anime form, all the characters have different emotions.

The best part of this game for me was investigating. Basically you go too the crime scene and look around for evidence and more. Detective gumshoe is always there too show you different ways of investigating. Ema Skye (in case 5) made investigating really fun for me, you get too search for fingerprints, search for blood stains. When searching for blood she uses some liquid that shows blood thats been wiped away and makes them quite clear too see. When searching for fingerprints you use some powder, spread it all over the fingerprint, blow the microphone, then compare it to peoples fingerprints.

What really let me down in this game was some evidence contradicted a testimony but when you presented it nothing would happen. In the other three games, Justice for all, Trials and Tribulations,Apollo Justice they fixed all of this but i would constantly get it wrong in this game and it really annoyed me. Its still one of my favorites though. It is a must have for DS.

    THE GOOD:
this game was quite impressive and of course it would be...it's Capcom. lol I've found many of capcoms games to be hits and this is definitely one of them. Phoenix Wright is a defense attorney. A rookie from the start, but you turn yourself into a mean, lean objecting machine.

One of he biggest thrills from this game is shouting the word 'Objection' out loud into your DS whilst the public around look at you in the weirdest of fashion. But to hell with them, the game is important right now. XD

You take on quite a few cases which are all murders. As your go on through your cases, no doubt they get harder and harder to solve as not only do you get to point out mistakes in people's testimonies, but you get to throw evidence in there face, but don't pick the wrong stuff, or it's game over. XD You also get to do a little snooping of your own around the crime scenes, finding clues and evidence, even talking to witnesses. So you're kind of like a lawyer and a detective merged into one with a little annoying sidekick with you too. =D

The music is one of the best when you are out and about, or even when you've just pulled the big one on a witness who's lying through their front teeth. It kind of gets your adrenaline pumping to do more and win the case.

The animation is impressive and simple. the character art is detailed and hilarious with it's anime style. the background art is clear, yet complicated (which is a good thing). when you walk into a room, it's not just some simple room where you'll notice every single detail, which is great. It makes the game harder when you're snooping around certain rooms.

The characters were awesome. Personally Nick (Phoenix) himself was one of my favourites, but hands down, your Rival Edgeworth and the dimwitted detective Gumshoe beats them all. ^^

    THE BAD:
I find there wasn't enough cases. I mean some did take some time to work and was mind boggling, but at the end, I was surprised at how many cases there was, though with it being a series of games. I suppose I shouldn't complain. XD

    Besides that. One character did get on my nerves and that was Maya. She's quite the annoying little sidekick. ^^;;

Besides that, there's not really any bad points I can see in this game.

    SUMMARY:
Over all, this game really blew me away. Everyone had been telling me how good it is and even though I was thinking of buying it, I didn't think it would be as gripping. but I'll tell you something. I was completely wrong. Having both the first and second. I find them to be chilling, exciting and energy bursting fun for your stylus and mind. =D I I were to give you some advice, if you find this game. Please, do yourself a favour and by it. I you enjoy the rush of finding clues and throwing it in people's face, shouting 'Hold It' and 'Objection' with a loud booming voice and pointing randomly in the air. You'll just love this game.

(A lawyer game?) I thought. Oddly enough, I bought it, and tried this baby out. Little did I know I would be addicted. If you like solving mysteries, and using that small brain of yours, give this game a shot. If not, then I'd still suggest you try out this game.

One of the better DS games, you, a defense lawyer, must solves cases in a courtroom. Using evidence, and clues, prove that the your clients are innocent!

Although he's a new lawyer, Phoenix Wright, the main character has more than enough skills to take on the bad guys, and find out the truth!

    Pros
    1) Music - One of the things that gets me at most...is the music. Wonderful music, I tell you. It completely suits the mood of the setting. With tensions, or just casual talking, it's always wonderful to listen to.

    2) Storyline - The storyline is amazing! Each trial focuses around a murder, and it's your job you find out, who did it. While you're gathering up clues, and meeting new people, parts of why the event occured are revealed.

    3) I'm a lawyer! - In the court room, while you're objecting to a witness's false testimony, or even "scooping" up dirt from the crime scene, it really feels like you're in the game. It's just amazing, it really grabs your attention.

    4) Nice n' Long - Pretty long game. That or, I had a hard time in the courtroom. Either way, as you progress in the game, each chapter gets tougher, and much longer. Infact, I'd say the last chapter is most likely longer than the previous 4, combined!

    5) Challanging! - I love a great challange, and this game is no exception.

    Cons:

    1) Lack of Replay-ability - Although the each chapter gets tougher, and longer, after beating the game, there really isn't much you can do afterward.

And so, that's it! Here's the breakdown.

Storyline: 9/10 - For some strange, apparent reason, each case does relate to the previous. Whatever happened in the past, would most likely, affect the future..

Sound/Music: 8.5/10 - Like I've mentioned before, the music is a HUGE plus in the game. It fits well in each of the conflicts, and dramas that occur. The sound effects are pretty crisp, and good as well.

Graphics: 9/10 - Graphics are crisp, characters are well drawn, you get to see different emotions, overall, it's nicely done.

Gameplay: 10/10 - Amazing. It's nothing like I've played before. Nothing like an RPG, Adventure, this is entirely new! And what an experence it was. You can inspect fingerprints, examine clues, object into the microphone, many, great things.

Lifespan: 7.5/10 - The only downfall is that..after beating it, you won't have that sudden urge to play the whole game over again. However, one can argue that this is one game that you will return to every once in a while.

Overall: 8.8/10(4.4) - I've said it before, and I'll say it again. AN-INSTANT-CLASSIC. If you own a DS, honestly, it's worth it. I'm sure someone you know has 30 bucks to spare, right? (Heh, I hope!) However, do be quick. Rumor has it that Capcom made a limited amount of games, and there aren't going to be many games out there. Although I find this game severaly underrated, it should not be overlooked! Buy it, and remember..

Not everyone is innocent until proven guilty!
