THE GOOD:
The minions. Blaze, Stench, Giblet and Zap are a lively bunch and get a notable amount of personality compared to the average grunts in the console games.

The game still takes from the medieval era and tries to add gross humour.

THE BAD:
Way too repetitive.

No voice-work or decent method to vent the plot of the game.

No actual Overlord present in the game…

SUMMARY:
Codemasters launched the first Overlord game a few years back now, and though it may not be one of the best games out there, it certainly is a slice of something different. The original game managed to combine action elements with certain RPG elements thrown on a twisted canvas of medieval mischief. Though Overlord II has only just been released alongside Overlord: Dark Legend for the Wii, the Nintendo DS has also received an instalment of the series, but is it evil enough to stand alone from its console counterparts?
