THE GOOD: + excellent story + fun + good music + reasonable graphics + takes full advantage of touch screenTHE BAD: - takes too long to load drawing screen - quick to finish - not enough room to draw certain things - not enough variety of weapons. SUMMARY: summary:
The village of the rapoza is dying, and you, the creator, draw a hero to save it. You are the creator in this quick game. Draw and customize your own hero, weapons, platforms and much more! All the things you create will help you to restore the rapoza village to greatness!
Game play:
(There are only 2 save files in this game ) Draw your hero and go through a fantastic story line. During the game you will use the control pad, buttons and touch screen. The pad and buttons for basic movement and attack, and touchscreen for drawing! This game has a total of 4 worlds that have 4 story levels and a boss level making 5 levels per world. As you complete the worlds, you gather pages of light, and you improve the rapoza village greatly.
The levels are made up of a variety of obstacles, such as moving or stationary platforms, drawings that you must make such as stars to use as stairs to get across pits, or making debris to glide to a destination.
In this game, in every level except for boss levels, you can get 3 "specials". The specials consist of music, a pattern, and a special move. Collect these specials to unlock things for purchase in a store you get early on in the game. The special move will require you to collect 3 of the specials (1 for each level). After that you can purchase them at the store, and you use it by pressing X and a combo with the control pad. some of the special moves are kickflip and slide, and there are more too.
The weapon you get is mainly only a gun, but when you get to the dark world you get to use a sword and sometimes you just grow large and your foot is the weapon!
After each level, which you will need to find 4 parts of a page of light, and 3 captured rapozas, you do many tasks in the village. The tasks consist of talking to certain rapos or clearing darkness from the town, or drawing something using the page of light you just got from the level before.
This game is a quick relaxing game, it only takes a few days to complete. Some of the levels are challenging, when you have to find all the rapzas, because they are scatterd through out the level. The template pieces are quite easy to find most of the time. Overall, the majority of this game is pretty easy, just have to draw things, and use them to get to the rapoza and templates.
Drawing: (The draing in this game is very accurate to your movements) Most of the drawing things in the levels are really just coloring in. That kind of thing gets boring after a while. Through out the levels of the game there are various signs with a pallet on them, they allow you to draw. Even if you're not a good artist you can simpley draw a squiggle, and it would work!
For every drawing, they will give you boxes to show the limit of how big your drawing can be. This limits the creativity a little. Also, the program that you use for drawing is really a lot like the one on the computer called Paint (but it's easier to use). It's not hard to use and the results come out very satisfying.
When you draw some things to help you in the level, they all do different things, such as one is a conch shell, and it controls rocks. Another is a star, and it appears and disappears. Some are vehicles used to get past freezing water, or to zip past the end section. All the items have there own tricks and work very well with the game.
Music: The most music variety is mostly played in the village, buy all the same it is pleasing to listen to. There is a variety of different songs and you can buy them for play anytime by going to the store and buying them (you must unlock first).
Graphics: The graphics are not good but exceptional. You could say they are a little pizalated, but that doesn't ruin the story.
Story line: The story line in this game is very addicting. There is a dialouge to read, and basically, after every level there is about 15 miutes of story (or less if you're a speed reader). The story is very basic, but will surely please players.
Other thoughts: I personally thought that this was a great game, but it gets old after you beat it, but if you start another acount on the seconed save file, if it's not being used then it will get it's fun spark back. |
