Animal Crossing: Wild WorldOne reason to buy a DS! Animal Crossing Wild World! This game is all about fun. No objectives, no deadline and no timers, just pure fun where you can do whatever you want without worrying about failing at any part of it.
Create your own little virtual world with unlimited possibilities. There is no real goal to this game besides living a virtual life, although paying off your home loan to Tom Nook is a focus for most players. In order to earn money to pay off your debt and pay for other things you can do a number of activities; these include fishing, bug catching, fossil searching and even building fruit orchards bring in a great sum. These are simple tasks that don't involve too much input but give players lots to do.
After you pay off your home loan you have the choice of upgrading it. You may continue to do this until it becomes a mansion which gives you more room to furnish you house with furniture and items. There is a huge list of things you can purchase in this game that tend to be grouped by specific themes and since some items are only available in certain seasons it will take you at least a year to get every one. This gives you a real sense of customization.
The biggest addition from the Gamecube to the DS version is the option to play with others via DS-DS or Wi-Fi Connection. This means you can visit a friend in their town. It also provides a great opportunity to collect rare fruit, get top dollar for turnips or fill your catalog with those items that you haven’t seen in your town. In order to visit a friend's town you must get their friend code, name and town name. After you have swapped information you may visit each other's towns whenever your gates are open. Up to four people can be in a town at the same time where you can communicate with them, see their house and meet their neighbours. It’s a great way to make friends all over the world!
Other addition from the Gamecube to the DS is the ability to have a different hair styles and colors, better pattern designing due to the use of the stylus/touch screen and so much more!
Sounds/Graphics Colorful and bright! Trees grow over time in visible stages and flowers wilt when they are in need of water, even the flying bugs have shadows. Each villager looks different and has their own personality which makes your village even more unique to your friends.
The music is very well done and seems to change by the hour. There is an ability to create town tunes that play when the gamer talks to others, walks into buildings, the hour changes and many other things. Cute and cartoony would be good words for the sound effects. Especially how the animals talk, it’s called “Animalese” and well, I can't really describe it. You have to hear it for yourself.
Replay Value Addicting! There is so much in the game with no real goals so you kind of make your own goals up as you go along which are so many that you can reach. It even becomes an even more challenge to just put the game down!
