THE BAD:
poor story, poor character development, repetitive gameplay, not very fun or immersive
SUMMARY:
I picked up Time Stalkers along with a couple of other gently used titles, and for the price I paid, I figured it was a worthwhile investment. You know, I never did understand that whole "get what you pay for" maxim, but after playing with this game for a while, I think I'm starting to learn sadly enough.
Time Stalkers, also known as Climax Landers in some gaming circles, has an admittedly unique story to it. The game's main protagonist, Sword, is a blue-haired, hyped-up, Ryudo gone terribly, terribly awry. In the introductory sequence, he's marching through a forest at night, and while he's not busy daydreaming of some girl he had given the cold shoulder, he's getting attacked by a knight in black armor. They tussle...
THE BAD:
The storyline, the endless talking, the music and the annoying litte creatures you met in every battle.
SUMMARY:
I thought this game was going to be like Evolution but I was really wrong. For one in the begining it starts off as nice but it goes downhill after the extremly long dialogues and the endless encounters with little creature things. The game gets boring after awhile because you're just doing the same thing over and over. Also you are just stuck in one island looking at the same think you saw an hour ago. The whole thing about capturing the animals and stuff didn't really appeal to me. Also the bosses weren't that bad but it wasn't much of a battle going up against them. To me this shouold be for kids 6 and under.
