THE GOOD: It's much more realistic than any other series. Some nights your star player will be banking shots everywhere on the court and other times he just can seem to get it in the basket. At the same time, it is never garuanteed that you will win. And also it makes play making become a huge factor in winning, especially on the higher levels. An array of new and outstanding dunks. Shooting percentages are much more realistic. The game as a whole makes you feel as if, you are actually playing an NBA game. Everything from the celebrations on the bench to the fist tapping after taking a foul shot.
THE BAD: The defenders get back on defense way too quickly, if they double team you and you pass it to an open man. I've noticed lately that almost everytime I play on the All-Star level, and the game goes down to the wire, if a Star player shoots it, no matter what you do, 9 out of 10 times, he will make it. Also theres only a couple of crossovers. In Franchise mode, there arent any star play...
THE GOOD: The franchise mode is excellent. I bought this game for Christmas and i still have the same franchise. The behind the back dribbles, added dunks, enhanced graphics, and the street ball mode also make the game, by far, my favorite.
THE BAD: The ONLY thing that I can think of to add to this game would be updated rosters.
SUMMARY: This game is a must have if you like basketball games. NBA Live 2001 for the PS2 doesn't even compare with this game. NBA 2K1 is the best bball game on the market in my opinion, and will stay that way for a long while.
THE GOOD: This game has the smoothest play I have ever seen from any non-hockey sports game, ever. Unreal dunks, and realistically slower paced play combined with smooth yet detailed graphics makes this game by far the best.
THE BAD: For some reason if you play the game long enough, the commentators will refer to random players as Adrian Griffin....?
SUMMARY: This is the kind of game ive searched for for a while. Awesome post moves and realistic shooting, the only thing I dont like is how easily momentum is built up. It may be my imagination, but the computer and I both exchange runs that are way too long. Oh yeah, and when you drive the lane there is nothing you can do once you commit to the hoop that will avoid being blocked by premier shot blockers.....P.S. "Boston Arena" is called the FLEETCENTER baby!!!!!!!
THE GOOD: More Dunks, Harder offence and defence, and better graphics
THE BAD: To SLOW
SUMMARY: I have NBA2K and I love it. I thought the only way to make this game better would be by making it more challenging, making it more realistic and give it a cross over dribble threw the legs. The crew gave us almost all that with lot's of extra dunks, which rule. BUT, they took the speed out. "WHY?" Can anybody tell me Y this was done? For that one reason I still play part 1 more. The game is good but not great because of the loss of speed. I would still buy it because I'm a b-ball freak and the game still rules.
