All racing games are the same, aren’t they? Basically, pick a car, pick a track, and race. Could be a full race, a time attack, or a 2 player race. Variations can include maybe having pretend “money” to spend on the cars, or having a rally mode or something (hint hint Gran Turismo). The thing is, though, as long as it’s been done well, it’s great fun. People are happy with what they’ve got in racers, they provide an adrenaline rush, they’re quick and they’re fun, and that’s what people want. Therefore, not much in the way of evolution has gone on since the dawning days of the racer. It’s basically, the first one over the line wins. So why oh why have British developers Bizarre Creations (who live maybe 50-100 miles away from me!) decided to throw that design frame away, start afresh, and throw caution to the wind with a totally new concept?
