Where is the Sound?! | 4.7 0 comments |
by SepheroT from 2d floor of hot, , damn Hell | Dec 3, 2004 |
This is the best fighting game on the Dreamcast IMO,I have played all 3 of the other Vs games and this has got to br the best of the 4 it has all the characters of the past 3 games also included are characters from X-Men Children of the Atom and Marvel Superheroes and a few new additions like Cable and Ruby Heart any way on to the review.
Graphics:What do i say about the graphics here we go the graphics in this game are really good the 3D backgrounds are great i somtimes get distracted while I am playing they are that good. The characters on the other hand are a little pixalated especially the big characters like Thanos and Blackheart the final boss in it's last form is so pixalated it is funny but these problems are minimal if the game is played on a small television. The special effects for the Super combos are bright and colorful and fill the screen nicely. All the frames of animation from the arcade are in the Dreamcast version complements of the NAOMI board. Graphics:9/10
Sound:The sound in this game is a little weird the sound effects are all right but the music is a little how do I put this nicely it does not fit the game what hte hell was Capcom thinking when they made the music for this game some of then songs are pretty good but the fighter selection music is really annoying especially after you have heard it a million times. Sound:7/10
Gameplay:The gameplay is great the control is tight and even the 4 button set up is good if you have played a Street Fighter game you no how to play this game even a newbie can pick it up and play with out a problem with 56 characters there is a character for everybody. Gameplay:10/10
Extras:This game has alot of extras but you cant open them up with just the dreamcast you need to go to the arcade and play online unfortunately since this is the inport version I cant pay online and no arcade has VMU support in the US so you are stuck having to download a gamesave of thew internet to open up all the secrets like the extra colors, stages and characters. Extras:8/10
This is very good game i suggest buying it don't rent buy since the Us version is coming out soon you might be able to earn all the characters this is a great game hurry up and get it.

THE GOOD: Has alot of help and really answers my questions.THE BAD: Too strict. SUMMARY: I love this game. I can play this game all freakin day. Never get bored. All I do is train to do good combos and infinites that I will not lose. I do variations of infinities. You have to know what each button can do, and how to move with your character. Each character has different movements and different specials. Choose your favorite characters and stay with them till you know how to use them by heart. You have to trust yourself, that you can beat others with the combos and strategys you have practiced. |

THE GOOD: Wide variety of playable characters. Many obscure characters you wouldn't expect in another game (i.e. Jill Valentine, Servbot, Thanos, Amingo, & etc.). THE BAD: The music is kind of lame and the announcer needs to be drop-kicked and Cable and Cyclops are the worst cheez fighters! SUMMARY: The game is great and has a lot of replay value due to the many varieties of characters MvsC2 has to offer. Earning the points to "buy" new characters also adds to the replay value and gives you more to work for than just reaching the end of the game. Definitely worth picking up for hardcore Capcom and fighting gamers.

Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 Review | 4.2 0 comments |

THE GOOD: Great varity of characters, fun battling, and can be addicting.THE BAD: The fast pace fighting makes things too random and no room for much skill. Part 1 was better IMO. SUMMARY: This was a pretty good fighting game. They included a lot of great characters in it from Jill from Resident Evil to all your favorite Marvel characters we have seen in the past all in one game. Not to mention 2 Wolverings lol. The fast pace fighting was a bummer in some ways because it can even make a newbie look good. I love playing this in the arcade though but I perfer part one a lot more. I recommend buying this game or renting it first if you have doubts. |

Marvel vs Capcom 2, let's go insane! | 3.0 0 comments |

THE GOOD: 56 playable characters, replay value.THE BAD: The music is just terrible, if it were anything like the original game, this would have gotten a higher rating. SUMMARY: Any game that can pit Spider-Man against Venom has a little spark to it, and most fans of fighting games will want this game. Although it is probably one of the most interesting fighting games of all time, and has high replay value for a fighting game, this one is not without its flaws. Most of the characters need to be unlocked with points you obtain while playing the game. That's not the bad part, however, as that keeps you playing it long after you would have put down the new Street Fighter game or Darkstalkers. All of the hidden characters are simply brough back from the previous Marvel/crossover games that Capcom has produced (X-Men: Children Of The Atom, Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter, ect.). Most people won't be clawing their skin off in anticipation to unlock Charlie or the Silver Samurai. The music does not help the game either. It won't make you beg for it to "take you for a ride", as it sounds like a mangaled jazz session gone wrong. But as a fan of Marvel comics, or Capcom fighting games, you'll still want to give this one a try. |

THE GOOD: Tons of hidden characters to unlock and special stuff like costumesTHE BAD: Does get a little repetative as far as fighting gaems are concerned SUMMARY: This is probably one of the best Capcom Vs. Series, with Capcom VS SNK being higher than this.
This game has loads of fun characters from all your favorite Marvel Comics and you can pair them up with Capcom characters to kick some ass.
Excellent title to have in the fighting genre, the secret options will last you a long time! |

THE GOOD: Loads of characters, great-looking backgrounds, who knowsTHE BAD: Bad AI, really hard computer, imbalanced Gameplay SUMMARY: This is a fun group/party game that anyone can play, but it's strictly that; trying to play this game 1 player is a waster of time. Marvel kills Capcom in terms of characters and gameplay. Many of the 56 characters have to be unlocked and their virtually worthless (Most of the Capcom characters escpecially) |

MvC2 - Nearly good enough to kill for. | 3.0 0 comments |

Just as the rating says, MvC2 brings you all the street fighter goodness with a catch: Extra stuff. You can unlock characters / costumes / stages by playing the game more, but after that it gets boring
With 52 players to play with you'll think the game has tons of replay value. But it's strictly a party game. The game is just as easy on any difficulty level, and the A.I. sucks, so you'll need a friend when you play this game.
The sprites are better than ever, and the levels are awesome. There's no slowdown, so the graphics are good. It just didn't live to expectation in the 1P mode. It's your choice: if you have plenty of friends/siblings then I recommend it. If you're a loner, then i don't think it's a good buy for you. |

THE GOOD: 56 characters to choose fromTHE BAD: All the good characters need to be unlocked. This game needs Zero from the Megaman X sereis SUMMARY: I've played the game before, I'm going to get it, and I beat the game 4 times ( at least ), and by the way I know a few codes. |
