Capcom vs. SNK

With Capcom Vs SNK 2 out...And the 3rd one on it's way... it's nice to look back on Classics such as these and remember how many hours we wasted playing them.
With an infinite number of possible combinations, each match promises to be different from the last. And with each move progressing in difficulty, it will take a lot of practice to perfor some of the later specials...
Hard yes, but that is only for challenge, so for all those beat em up fans out there who have beaten the rest... now play the best

If ever feeling nostalgic, i strongly urge you to buy this game!

THE BAD:
Not well balanced. Hard to unlock everything.

SUMMARY:
If you really liked the arcade game, buy this right away.

But be prepared to play a LOT to unlock everything.

the game is unbalanced because of the flawed ratio system. You are given 4 points to distribute amongst 1, 2, 3, or 4 point character(s).

so you can have 4 one point characters, 2 one point and 1 two point etc... other combinations.

If skilled enough, someone with 4 characters will always win. That's why it gets old, once you get good with a well balanced team there isn't much competition out there.

So if you're looking for something deeper, get Soul Calibur, otherwise buy this if you're a fan of the arcade version.

THE BAD:

Had the programmers, not been sleeping with some of the talent in game whilest programming this, what would have been an excellent game, is rendered into a mess.

What are programmers doing these days, to warant such a blatant rubbish, this game runs slower than Quake 3 Area on a 286DX. had the programmers actually given indepth choice of texture detail level it would have made a much better game, frank I don't think they have any idea.

I've seen games in Blitz Basic PC written better than this game, infact with more detail too.

Don't bother buying it, those with knowlage will know what to do with it

THE BAD:

This game was a very good game, but know its so boring it only is good for about a week and then you'll get bored. The game is so easy and when you get all the islands (i got all islands in 4 days)they seem realy small and ARE realy small. When you kill people hardly any blood comes out, ounce you've killed a few peds you'll get bored of it. There is about 11 different cars which all suck!Dont listen to any of the other reviews they where written when the game was new. Dont waste you're money on grand theft auto 3 cus it is pants just trust me. instead get metal gear solid 2 or wipeout fusion. p.s. gta3 sucks!!! 16/4/02

This game is brilliant, the graphics are okay, but the gameplay is great, this is definatley something for every 2d fighting fan.

THE BAD:

The game play is absolutely brilliant ive estmated around 100 to 200 hours of game play maybe even more.

There is a lot of options for 2 players as well and the chance to watch your triumphs over and over again on game replay mode.

THE BAD:
Balence issues. The only thing keeping this game from being great is the fact that some of the fighters are extreamly over powered for thier ratio ,and, some of the computer controlled fighters are riduculosly difficult while others are a push over.

SUMMARY:
It seems that no one has really removed alot of points from thier review score because of balence issues, but, most reviewers are very aware of the problems in this game. Its very clear that there needs to be some changes. Maybe Capcom vs Snk 2 will be the ultimate battle (complete with level playing field) i was hoping for ... maybe not.

THE BAD:
not really too much...could work on a few more characters and better ai

its a good game with all a beat-em-up can offer like colour edit hidden levels and characters and even a shop built into the game

its good value as it has been out a while so scour the bargain bins and you will be very happy with what you get

okay evil ryu cost 7000 points DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG THAT COULD TAKE TO GET BUY THE 300 POINTS I GET EVERY TIME I BEAT THE GAME!!!! well that could take for ever. enogh of that everything els about the game is perfect it does need a little more speed.

Way too long to get enough points for the secrets

SUMMARY:
This game gives u great fighting feeling, ull love the tons and tons of secrets that it has to offer, sort of like Marvel vs Capcom 2. the only donw side to this game is the amound of time u have to spend getting all those vs points just to get one character. Speaking of characters , the EX versions are exelent not only do they add to the variety but some times give a weak player the advantege he needs to rise up and win. Another great feature is the color edit mode, its great for adding ur own unique touch to ur favorite players.

bottom line is , this game offers a ton of secrets, great rewards and good replay value
