About the Company
Cyanide is an independent and privately held French video game development studio based in Paris. Created in 2000 it has become one of the most active and productive studios in the French video games industry.The studio is best-known for its Pro Cycling Manager series of games (a version being released each year since 2001). However, it has more than one chord to its arc as games such as Chaos League (sport fantasy RTS, 2004/2005) and Loki (RPG, 2007) have proved. These two titles offered immersive heroic fantasy worlds with a rich pool of characters drawn from a variety of mythological and heroic fantasy universes.
The Loki experience, with its 4 main heroes in their own unique game worlds, with its huge variety of monsters and bosses, with its vast array of customisable armour and weapons and with its lavish graphical FX on magic and spells, advanced Cyanide far along the learning curve of RPG development.
In 2009, Cyanide secured the interactive rights for George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" series to turn it into video games for PC and next-gen consoles. Development has begun right after the release of Blood Bowl, the adaptation of the famous Games Workshop's tabletop game and the annual Pro Cycling Manager: Tour de France 2009.
We have 60 employees working at our French HQ in Paris and 15 in our Canadian studio based in Montreal.
