About this Book

Twenty-two-year-old Cherry Pye (real name Cheryl Bunterman) has been a pop star since she was only fourteen, and is about to make a comeback from her latest drug/alcohol disaster.

Now meet Cherry (or Cheryl) again, this time in her "undercover stunt double" persona named Ann DeLusia. Ann portrays Cherry whenever the singer is too smashed-in other words wasted-to appear in public. Yet it is Ann who is kidnapped from a South Beach hotel by an obsessed paparazoo named Bang Abbott in a case of mistaken identity.

Cherry's handlers have a ginormous challenge on their hands. An über–stage mother, horndog record producer, twin publicists that have most definitely had plastic surgery, and a bodyguard that wields a weed whacker has to rescue Ann whilst keeping her existence from both Cherry's public and Cherry herself.

To make matters even more complicated, the unhinged Skink, a former governor of Florida who lives in the wild in a mangrove swamp. Ann once had a bewitching encounter with Skink and is on his way to Miami to find her.

Will Bang Abbott fulfill his fantasy of an extremely rare private photo session with Cherry Pye? Will Cherry sober up in time to make it through her concert tour, albeit by lip-synching? Will Skink find Ann DeLusia before Cherry's motley crue does?

All shall be revealed in a hilarious spin on life in the celebrity's fast lane.
