The Tranquillo comes packaged in a very appealing white box. The packaging uses the standard design of showing an image of the product along with the specifications and highlights.
The Tranquillo uses a "V" shaped finned array, along with small bumps throughout each fin. This will lower the air resistance, allowing less air to more efficiently disperse the heat. The cooler also uses four copper heatpipes to transfer the heat from the core, but the heatpipes are very thin and could be the chink in this $40 CPU cooler's armor.
The base of the Tranquillo is solid copper and very flat. This will ensure the base sits evenly on the IHS and transfers heat more effectively. Also, for enhanced cooling the base has large metal fins attached to it.
The fan that comes with the Tranquillo also uses a metal pin system to be secured to the heatsink. When in operation the fan's PWM control allows it to range from 750 to 1500RPM, but even while at full rotation the sound level only reaches 25.5 dBA. This means the Tranquillo will be extremely quiet, even during demanding system use.
