Features, Layout & Specifications
The GA-8IPE 1000 Pro comes with equipped with the following features; SATA, 10/100 Ethernet controller, IEEE 1394 Firewire and 6 channel Audio. The GA-8IPE 1000 Pro also includes; five PCI slots, two SATA connectors, four Dimm slots, two IDE connectors and one AGP slot. Additionally, you'll find pin outs on the board for the following; IEEE 1394 Firewire, 2 USB for up to 4 ports and front audio/mic.
The GA-8IPE 1000 Pro incorporates the above features, along with other standard connectors and pin outs, into a good overall layout. However there is a point to mention.
While being spacious overall, we again see crowding near the CPU and I/O panel. As we've seen before this is not an atypical problem on P4 boards, and while we didn't have to bend or endanger any capacitors this time around, it still makes for an area that needs improvement.
