3DMark 2005

As expected, the GeForce 7800 GTX has the lead here, though it is being closely trailed by the 7800 GT. Single-texturing performance is very close to that of the 7800 GTX, which multi-texturing performance trails a bit more, almost letting itself be overcome by the X850 XT PE. The 6800 Ultra doesn't stand a chance here.

Vertex shader performance sees the X850 taking the crown, which was expected. Interestingly enough, the 7800 GT scores almost identically to the 7800 GTX, with its slight disadvantage most likely attributed to the one less vertex shader. Once again, the 6800 Ultra is left in the dust.

Lastly we have pixel shader performance. I was amazed to see that the 7800 GTX scored only 13% better than the 7800 GT, given the 7800 GT's 4 less rendering pipelines. The 7800 GT is definitely giving the 7800 GTX a run for its money here, even though it really is just a synthetic benchmark. The 6800 Ultra scores just over 50% that of the 7800 GT.
