Antec Titan 550 - PAGE 5

The Power Supply

Many server cases come without the power supply for a variety of reasons, to deflate the hefty premium on larger cases and to give users the choice of getting their own high quality power supply (this is particular in the case of tier-two manufacturers), among other reasons. However, for the Titan 550, Antec has decided to buck the trend and has included the Antec Truepower 550, one of Antec's higher end power supplies. OEM power supplies are usually weak (300-400w) and of mediocre quality. Well, not in this case. The Truepower 550 ended up being one of the best power supplies we've tested here at Neoseeker.

As you can see, the Truepower errs on the side of caution (rails at +5% or so), there is barely any dip on load (-0.01V across the board on load), and is one of the more quiet PSUs we've tested here. For a bundled PSU, this is a lot better than a lot of standalone PSUs (to be fair, you can also purchase the Truepower line standalone). All in all, an impressive PSU and case bundle from Antec.
